We did the e-bike ride with Scott! Great experience with beautiful scenery and high quality bikes! 5 Stars+
A guided tour of the general area around Wanaka, at the beginning of our stay in Wanaka, really set the scene for us, as well as getting some dining and other recommendations from Scott, our guide. Scott tailored our tour to our abilities and enthusiasm and so we had a perfect tour. The bike tour really live up to high expectations.
My wife and I took two e-bike tours with both Scott and John as our guides, and they were terrific--professional, knowledgable, helpful and friendly, the highlight of our time in Wanaka!
We did the Riverside Bike Tour today. Stunning river scenery, friendly and personable guide. Nice e-bikes in good condition. Only gripe was that the tour was on the pricy side but this is what we have found as a common theme with activities in this stunning destination.
We had John take us from Queenstown up to our holiday at Cardrona Apartments. It was a private transfer- and we would 100% recommend this service. Previous years when we've stayed at Cardrona we have rented a car that has just sat at the top of the mountain and cost a LOT of money. Instead this year we opted for Discover Wanaka. John picked us up from our accommodation, allowed us to stop and shop/ stock up at Countdown for our stay, and then drove us up for our stay- and even helped with ALL our luggage which was a lot!!! He then picked us up at the end of our stay, and gave us some tips for Queenstown thanks John- we loved Winnies!. John was wonderfully friendly, and brilliant with our two small children. We had requested car seats- and from experience, this doesn't always happen- but John had them all organised- the car seats were already installed and ready for our tired children to flop into! We found wonderful communication with Scott about all our questions for the transfer, and he was most accommodating with all my emails! I would not hesitate in recommending this company- what a wonderful local business this is, and we can't wait to come back again next year and use them again :
Amazing service from Scott transferring our family safely, from Queenstown to Cardrona, on the wintery mountain roads. Scott's local knowledge and experience was extremely helpful when checking in on the mountain.
