We spoke to the owner as we wanted to use the shower facilities while freedom camping nearby. They were kind enough to allow it for a very reasonable $3pp. $1 coin operated showers for 5 minutes hot, then runs cold. The shower and toilet facilities were really pleasant and clean. Could tell from a brief conversation with the owners that they are passionate about the area and their camp. Such a lovely spot, hopefully we are in the area again as we'd love to stay!
Used our own van. Pitch next to river good.a little tight on space BUT we have a big van & awning. Close to the stunning coast drive & beaches. Thames township a 10 min drive away
Nice holiday park and better people! Helena was super friendly since the beginning, and she tried to help us with several things. She also speaks many languages and has travel a lot, so I think there is no better place to go and have a chat with experienced people like her and her family, totally recomended. Thank you again for your kindness!
Beautiful place nestled in the mountian, lovely staff, very helpful, informative, polite and welcoming. I left my jacket there, and they were nice enough to ring, and courrier it back to me! We loved our stay, stayed in caravan A, light from toilet block would be my only issue, as it lit up the caravan all night, but I would definately NOT call that a complaint. Lovely river right behind the park, and a nice bush walk 10 mins up the road.nnRecommend the the gold mine as a must see, and deffs get a bag to pan, as they guarantee at least a couple of flakes of gold, I found around 8 flakes in my pan, and lots of silver and pyrite.nnWill be visiting this holiday park again in the future for sure, thanks heaps guys!!
The 6 bed dorm has a lot of space! The bed is comfortable, there is a fridge in it what makes everything easier, but only one outlet. The localization is good, if you don’t have a car the walk towards Thames downtown is very agreeable!nThe only negative point for me is charging 1 dolar for 5min of hot water, if you are a woman with long hair and want to wash it or do it very fast or spend more money…nThe kitchen is furnished and nice!
