The restaurant is quite quirky and a little rustic. The food theme is hard to identify as it's a mixture of Spanish, Italian, Greek and Asian tapas cuisine. We were served by a lovely friendly American waitress who was very accommodating and gave us great service. The food was so delicious! We were blown away by how tasty the Bang Bang Cauliflower was - the best cauliflower dish we've ever had. The salt and pepper squid was disappointing as not much flavour, but the lamb with pilaf and pita bread was divine. The desserts were really unique, but very yummy. Highly recommend the restaurant.
Nice place to eat, good variety. The fried chicken was nice with the sauce, the lamb with our favorite it was flavourful and tender, the pork belly was very crunchy to the point that I felt that it might have been over cooked, the mussels were delicious aswell with the sauce it was cooked in.Food: 4/5
Deliciosa is simply delicious! Mediterranean style tapas restaurant with many dishes to share and good , special vegan menu when you ask! Food is very well prepared and seasoned. Bang bang cauliflower is to die for, so yummy and with such a good glaze and seasoning! Vegetarian mezze platter gives good selection of everything and share and is perfect option try everything. Very friendly and quick service , nice atmosphere and everything you wish to have some nice, relaxing time.
One of our local faves. Great food all year round with the changes and staff are always lovely and checking on you .
Was delighted to find this place. The raft of great online reviews is well deserved The staff are wonderful and so happy. The methodology of sharing food around the table and bringing it out as it was ready made for a wonderful evening of great food in a lovely environment
I had wagyu carpaccio. 24.5$ this was a nice dish with tender small pieces of beef with salad and croutons, Parmesan and reddish. Although quantity was small and not sure if it was freaky wagyu beef as I can’t tell difference. Had to supplement with prawns 19.5$. which was also very taste 8prawns and pistachio and risotto but quite a bit of oil so had to tilt the dish to drain it to one side. For dessert had white rocky road 8.9$ which I was told is for her white chocolate in fresh fruit. This turned out to be marshmallow in white French chocolate with pistachio and dried apricot I think. Couldn’t tell. No fresh fruits. Quite disappointing and left almost all of it. Overall 53$ and 70.4 with a drink. Overall food quality was fine but quantity was small. Service was great 5/5 . Try their sharing dishes as they r recommended by others.
Last night I got Bang Bang Cauliflower, Pork Belly & Paprika Fries. The Pork Belly was dry and over cooked. I rang to let them know and all I got was a “Sorry about that” For $35 I was really disappointed and thought I should have been offered a refund. Bit miffed and this is not the first time we have had dry Pork Belly. A big group of us dined in one night and when we told them about it they took it off the bill so that was good. All up our takeaway was over $70 so won’t be doing that again sorry.
Wow! The team looked after us superbly. The food was amazing. We were provided a Vegan menu with so many choices! We can absolutely recommend that anyone visiting The Hawkes Bay must put Deliciosa on their list! Well done team and thanks for a wonderful evening
What can I say, staff ~ top class, food ~ awesome- we went the sea food way, with the food we saw around us, we will definiately be back to try the other dishes. Setting, very pleasant
