The nicest thing about this place is probably the receptionist Chrissy . The rest are a joke I am sorry i thought this was a nice centre but I was sadly mistaken. My preferred doctor wasn’t taking on any new patients as she was full up I wander why because she is absolutely amazing that’s why . So then there two females thar were . I saw the first one twice as I choose to give people a chance before I decide and I thought NA then I requested to try the other one that was taking on patients and this Doctor is probably the worst doctor i have ever seen in my 26 years of living in NZ i have seen a few but today’s appointment was the worst i have never been to or experienced i have never been treated so badly in my life ..i read her profile thinking we would relate. I was left waiting 40 min she said she had an emergency appointment do I buy that no I don’t . I was told that she was taking on patients and it turned out she wasn’t so I was misinformed. When I met her she asked why did I move to NZ ? Firstly that is personal and secondly she said why did I move to Tauranga one of the other female Doctors there was my doctor when I first moved to Tauranga and she left that’s why I had to find another one . That should not matter she basically did not want a bar of me . Yes I requested a female doctor in the beginning due to something sensitive happening to me by a man but to be honest I would gladly see a male doctor than being humiliated by a woman after today’s experience. I broke down in tears when I got home I was so upset and felt triggered I had to call my key worker at mental health as I had a meltdown. It was so bad I won’t be going back there again I can’t . Unless there is a male doctor taking on patients which I asked but I think i should leave. It was an impulsive decision on my part to enroll there after my preferred practice that was closer to home had a waiting list and I needed a doctor urgently as I was out of my prescription medication that I need to take for life threatening conditions. This woman had absolutely no clue I mean my records are right there for her to see and read she also said she didn’t have time to read my bible of a medical history because it was too long and complex . And this is why so many people want overseas doctors I have nothing against kiwi people but today is why i have trouble respecting some of them . Or perhaps it’s a woman thing and they don’t like me because intimidate them I don’t know. At least with a man you can get what you need and it’s done . How hard is it to find a good decent caring doctor? that you can trust and have a good relationship with. I will not recommend this place to anybody. I may have a complex medical history and have problems and communicate differently to you but please I deserve to be treated with dignity and respect that is my right and I did not get that at all today .
I highly recommended Dee Street Medical centre. I have seen a number of doctors there and I have also used the nurses too for immunization for my little girl. I have always had pleasant and helpful services from everyone that works there. The girls on the reception are always helpful and are accommodating to your needs like emergency appointments. More Medical centre's need to be like this one.nThank you Dee Street
Nurse Tyler, amazing at her job and highly recommend Dr Rose Kilburn for everything but particularly women’s health. Always makes me feel comfortable.
Generally no issues unless you need to see someone urgently , never get same doctor twice left hand not communicating with the right .neven with heart condition so if you need a male doctor wait three weeks !!!!!!!!!!!!
Health Care assistant Lauren is fantastic, she has a kind calm nature and puts you at ease. I had a number of test to do for my work medical. Lauren explained everything I need to do in a way that I could understand and demonstrated how to do tasks as required. Dr Rose Kilburn was also great, she answered my questions and explained things in plain English ie not medical terms that nobody understands. Reception staff are pleasant to deal with and engage with you not as a number but as a person.
