This place was pretty darn good. Ambiance was nice. Servers were on top of things and the food was delicious. We got avocado toast and fish and chips. Also got a medium size flat white that was quite large. Will definitely return when in town.
Bad experience. We ordered the beef burger, but the bread was moldy. The staff only offered us one free drink. We then changed to steak, but the steak wasn’t fresh either. Probably won’t come again. Seems like the ownership has changed.
Visited this morning with a group of over 20 people. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and service was quick, efficient and friendly. The delicious food and coffees were brought to the table promptly. Fantastic place for brunch. Will definitely visit again. Thanks Dear Coasties.
I ordered a seafood chowder, and it turned out to be the worst seafood chowder I’ve ever had—my own cooking is even better. Then, when I got home, I had an upset stomach and suspect there were serious hygiene issues with the food.nnThe reply to this review by the owner is a complete joke—full of made-up excuses. My friend had the same experience and is already vowing never to return here. The seafood chowder was the worst I’ve ever had, and my stomach is still recovering. I’m convinced there are serious hygiene issues at this place. Consider this restaurant blacklisted—save yourself the trouble and stay away!
This is our new favorite go-to place in Orewa.nThe staff are welcoming and friendly. There's only a short wait for food, which is very fresh and yummy, plus the coffee is spot on.
