Spacious coffee shop at close walking distance to Orewa Beach. The food was good and the service was good. It can be a slight but uncomfortable to sit at the outside area when the wind is a bit heavy.
This place was pretty darn good. Ambiance was nice. Servers were on top of things and the food was delicious. We got avocado toast and fish and chips. Also got a medium size flat white that was quite large. Will definitely return when in town.
Bad experience. We ordered the beef burger, but the bread was moldy. The staff only offered us one free drink. We then changed to steak, but the steak wasn’t fresh either. Probably won’t come again. Seems like the ownership has changed.
A nice quiet cafe one block back from the main street of Orewa.nHad brunch here and wished I had gone inside and seen the cabinet food before ordering off the menu.nIm not an egg person and a lot of the menu included egg so I found it hard to choose.nSettled on the open burger which was ok just asked for the egg to be super well done.nThe cabinet food looked good though.nOption to eat inside or outside under cover.nWhilst its nice eating at the beach front cafes they can be super busy so this was nice and relaxed.
2/5 starsnNormally this café is pumping at 11am, but today it was fairly quiet with only a few people dining in. I stopped by for a quick takeaway — a latte and a spicy chai with almond milk. The total was $12, which is pretty standard for medium cups. Unfortunately, the spicy chai had no flavour at all, and since I was already back on the road, I couldn’t return to have it fixed. Service was okay, but nothing special. When you’re paying premium prices, you really hope for great coffee and service with a smile.
