We had a very disappointing experience with a staff member named Manni.nnMy friend was ordering a drink and politely asked a question about the coffee. However, Manni was quite rude and repeatedly responded by saying, “Medium, large, regular?” without addressing the question. When my friend tried to ask about the milk options, she ignored the question again and repeated the same thing.nnTo avoid any further discomfort, we just placed the order.nnThe food was good and the ambience was nice, but the service from Manni was not acceptable at all. Customer service should be more polite and attentive.
Had a lovely Mother’s Day breakfast at Dear Coasties with our little one this morning and once again had a great experience.nWe’ve been here several times over the last couple of years and have always left happy with both the food and the service.nThe staff are consistently warm and welcoming.nThe food is always fresh, well presented, and genuinely good value for money. We’ve also brought family and friends here for early morning breakfasts and everyone has enjoyed it.nIt’s become our go-to breakfast spots in Orewa and we’ll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great coffee, quality food, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Nice place to have a coffee and small food.nClean and cosy. Coffee is quite nice. Tiramisu cake is unique.nRecommend for coffee.
They are no longer under the same ownership as they were two years ago, and the quality of the food has dropped significantly.nnAll the ingredients feel cheap and low-quality, clearly sourced from supermarkets — inexpensive sausages, frozen hash browns, and basic bread. The sausages are filled with starch rather than meat.nnI honestly can’t believe how badly this place has declinedIt's a breakfast bad enough to ruins the day
This place was pretty darn good. Ambiance was nice. Servers were on top of things and the food was delicious. We got avocado toast and fish and chips. Also got a medium size flat white that was quite large. Will definitely return when in town.
