DaWilly's trees was born many years ago! I have to admit to a small obsession with driftwood and the desire to make beautiful things with it! I'm fussy about my wood! Having grown up in the UK where driftwood is sparce, I love to road trip to the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand to a little town called Hokitika. I like it to be smooth, free of any bark and to have obviously lived a long time out in the ocean.
I started making trees and giving them to friends as presents, they are in many homes in New Zealand and also as far away as the UK and the USA!
We love making these trees and its always amazing to see and smell the different types of wood!
We decided to set up our small business so many more people can enjoy these little trees, sometimes I remember picking up certain pieces of wood and where on the beach it came from.
