Story

I've been involved with the Fitness industry for the last 4 years doing a variety of things.
I am a Personal Trainer based out of Velca in Howick and a CrossFit Coach at CrossFit Raw Strength.

I specialise in Gymnastics, Rehab, Olympic Lifting, Functional Strength training and HIIT training.

MY STORY:
When i was 16 i had an Ishemic Stroke which resulted in my left eye going mostly blind. I am blessed because there was a blood vessel too small in my eye for the clot to continue in to my brain which would have left me paralysed or worse.

When i was 17 due to being extremely emasculated i had severe issues with my left knee and shoulders. I walked with a cane at work and it was quite the norm for me.
I could never play sports with my mates because of my physical capabilities were just about non existent.

Eventually someone decided to try and bring me to the gym with them, i was TERRIFIED!
Here i am a severely emasculated young man walking in to a Body Builders gym with my friend as my first gym experience. What a SHOCK!

Long story short he got me to come again to the gym, i fell in love with exercise because the more i did it the less i had physical restrictions.

I got a Personal Trainer down the track and he helped fix my knee and shoulders. Got rid of my cane and haven't used it since. Now i can enjoy a higher quality of life with my friends and family at the park just goofing around, in the backyard around the BBQ in the summer, hiking up a mountain in our beautiful country.

After having that event occur in my life i am thankful every day for the abilities i have physically and take nothing for granted.
It was right then that I knew "this is what i want to do, help people live a better quality of life!".
I want to share that joy with others of overcoming physical obstacles that whatever it may be, hold us back because NO ONE should live a life that isn't of the highest quality of life!
