Although technically it's for guest staying at Curry Village only, but the employees at the reception honestly don't care. As long as you bring your own towel, it's free to use, you can also rent one from them for $5. It's open nearly 24hrs a day except 4 cleaning breaks on 5AM, 11AM, 3PM and 10PM. Warm water available, each stall has wet and dry area separate by a curtain. Body wash and shampoo is included, it's not L'Occitane En Provence but definitely good enough. It's truly a life saver for tent camper in the Pine camps.
My husband and I spent 3 nights in the heated tents this weekend for Firefall and we had an amazing time. The bed was comfortable and the tent had more space than I excepted for a double bed. The heater was fairly quiet and worked very well! The light and plug were helpful too. There was plenty of ice around Curry village so we wore crampons especially at night, since we both slipped on the ice without the crampons Pizza deck and Bar 1899 had decent food too. Overall, a great experience and we hope to come back soon!
The campsites are wonderful, and the village offers convenient amenities like two stores, a gift shop, a bar, and a large dining room. The pizza is particularly outstanding - it's so good that you can even bring it to the bar or enjoy it outside. To round out the experience, there's a cozy living room area in the yard where you can sit by the fire or play games. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a day of outdoor adventure.
i wish i could give a ZERO star. we booked our room 7months in advance in order to plan our trip to Yosemite being aware of the high demand,we booked a double room, we payed for it , and now, some days before our arrival i decided to call just to make sure we got the right info to the location of the hotel and i was told that Curry Village IS CLOSED until 5th of April !!! and NO ONE called us to let us know we needed to find another place, also we payed already and no refund was received, the booking was not cancelled , and the worst part of course is that WE CAN NOT FIND ANY OTHER ACCOMMODATION at this moment. they basically ruined our trip. just consider this before you book.
Curry Village is my favorite place to stay when visiting Yosemite. It's a great hub to rest, eat, and even find trails from. It's a great central location with lots of easy access. It's beautiful, clean, and always has something to offer.Rooms: 5/5
The location is amazing! We were here in May and could every day easily find a parking spot. We stayed for 2 nights. When we checked in around 3:30 PM the room was not ready yet, when we came back at 5 PM it was still not ready .. that was quite disappointing. We went for a walk to explore the valley town. Eventually we got a nice room assisgned. We stayed in a heated tent which is highly recommend. It also has an electricity outlet to charge your phone or so. However, on the first day we had problems with the electricity which turned off multiple times. The lady at reception was not helpfull at all. Eventually we talked to the handy man which checked the situation for us and told us he had to change one of the parts to make it work well. He fixed it and we didnt have any problems anymore after that. The showers next to the pool were not the cleanest and the drainage was always clogged. On the other side of the camp I saw a newer bathroom building where the showers looked better. However, it was good enough for 2 nights. There are plenty of eateries at Curry Village and a small grocery store + gift store. Obviously the grocery store is more pricey than outside of the national park. Food & drinks: You should store all your food, drinks and toiletries in bear boxes next to your tent. They are quite big.
I stayed at the Curry village tent cabins. The accommodation was clean and the heat worked. The bed was decent. My biggest issue is the cleanliness of the showers. The curtains appear to be very moldy and haven't been cleaned or changed in years. Looks very gross to be honest. Can't beat the location though. Noteworthy details: Showers need deep cleaning and the curtains need to be replaced.
It was a wonderful experience staying there overnight. The service wasn’t up to the mark for the amount the charges. However, the surroundings views of mountains and waterfalls worth every penny.
Historical campground located within Yosemite National Park. Many amenities available to guests. We stayed in one of the heated canvas tents. Low temps around 20 degrees and the heater kept us nice and warm along with the provided sheets and blankets. Plenty of parking available. Managed by Aramark so take that into consideration when ordering food and drinks. The convenience store on site has a great selection of groceries. Prices are kind of high but what can we expect being located within a National Park. Overall good experience. Good place to take the kids. Located near Half Dome trailheads.
Very good location and lodge is clean and warm. Shower water is also hot in snow day. Scenic is very spectacular and beautiful! I recommend curry village for all tourists in Yosemite
