Cultivating Wellness through developing our interrelationship between People, Plants & Planet
Graduating in the UK with a Diploma in Craniosacral Therapy during the late 90’s, I have studied with the most cutting edge teachers in the field. I also broadened my knowledge and connection with plants through the study of Herbal Medicine & Nutrition and graduated from Westminster University in London with a first class honours degree.
My studies and passion are ongoing in both these chosen fields that now spans almost two decades, which not only ensures a deepening of knowledge, but also that I am kept abreast of new developments in upholding the profession.
I have cultivated a mindfulness approach to my work and interactions that has been aided by further studies in Core Process Psychotherapy, ‘Focusing’, based on Eugene Gendlin’s work and Vipassana Meditation.
Upon moving to New Zealand in 2009, I have studied First Light Flower Essences of NZ with Franchelle Ofsoské-Wyber that addresses the metaphysical aspects of our being and also ‘Rudolf Steiner’s’ Biodynamic Agriculture, that explores the cosmic & spiritual aspects of working with the land and plants.
With a deep appreciation that we are not separate from, but rather interrelated with all of nature and the cosmos, my therapeutic approach is acknowledging that the body’s innate wisdom is to seek Health rather than dis-ease. My role therefore, is to facilitate reorganising of the body’s natural rhythms towards Health with a gentle ‘nudge’ through the use of plant medicine, nutrition, craniosacral therapy and cultivating mindfulness around lifestyle, dietary habits and body awareness.
I have around 18 years clinical and teaching experience, however, I am currently on a sabbatical to channel my energy into creating a Wellness Centre near Raglan, as a space to learn, stay, restore and reconnect with nature & your inner self.
