Free entry. Very cute restored old town. Lots of history kept for all time. And the view of the lake is so amazingly stunning. It’s hard to believe once upon a time the level was much lower and the town filled the water up!
Summary 5/5: Better than Arrow Town, definitely worth spending time here.nnThe historical precinct 5/5: Stepping into the area, really feel like travel back in time into wild wild west. Most of the buildings are now a modern shop with historical store front, there's also a small museum with small collection of telecommunication equipment, free admission. Less famous compared to Arrow Town but also less crowded. Best of all, the scenery around Lake Dunstan is impeccable. Easy walk, wheelchair accessible. Public toilet available by the jetty.nnParking 4/5: The nearest parking is at Erris Street, but limited parking. Alternatively, drive to Archil Street and park at Melmore Terrace.
Great place with beautiful heritage buildings. They’ve done an amazing job at keeping up the buildings and providing plenty of education opportunities!
26th - 28th May.nUp here in Cromwell for a couple of days visiting with a mate.nNot a hell of a lot to do in Cromwell to be honest but thought we would wander over to the Heritage Precinct.nInteresting place, not spectacular but worth a bit of a look.nDon't regret having a look and I might recommend it for historical curiosities sake but would only visit once.
Lots of parking and super cute area to explore. Definately worth checking out if you are in the area.
