The store is always clean and well presented. Always well stocked across all departments. Aisles are wide with heaps of room to do your shopping so that you're not crashing into others. Staff on the floor aren't that helpful because they don't know where products are located but most of the front of store staff are friendly and helpful.
The shop is always tidy and it's easy to find what I'm looking for. The chilled section is hard to navigate though with freezers in the middle of the aisle. The guy who served me at the checkout spoke so fast and was rushing through scanning my items and packing them willy nilly into bags with any organisation. I spoke to the supervisor about him and she said he'd already been spoken to about his behaviour and would speak to him again. Explained he is competitive. I even asked him to slow down and he just seemed manic.
Payment processes weren't working causing customers some stress. Pay wave down and for some cards as well. My list wouldn't work either but was fine at home. Issue seems to be common localized to Tawa or Countdown.
One of the bigger stores, seem to have a larger range than other Countdowns. Helpful & efficient staff. Good lighting. Clean. Big carpark. Toilets available just ask, hard to find. Lotto outlet. No other nearby stores. Easy access as right next to SH1 off-ramp.
Delishshis food , products & fresh clean fruit & veggies! Meany viearity tin food , bakery you see your self returning for more the following week. Meat cut to perfection . Customer service is great . Friendly helping find what your looking for. Excellent work count down! We can count on you ! Better than Paknsave .... mind blowing
Amazing place to shop! Car park is the only let down as its kinda awkwardly shaped after you drive up a short 2 lane drive.
Love popping in here to do the shopping after work, so easy to get a park and it's never packed such hassle free shopping
Please put correct pricing up in meat and vege sections. I couldn't find price for the particular butterfly chicken so didn't buy it. Not the first time. Otherwise I enjoy the wide aisles and choice.
The better Countdown stores. But then Countdown is now more expensive than other stores and quite often the prices are wrong at check out. So check your receipts before you leave.
Produce is usually lacking and not appealing the majority of the time. Also doesn't have as many options in craft beer compared to elsewhere in Tawa
