Columbus MEGA Café

Well service with a smile certainly wasn't a thing today and it was disappointing that the kitchen was closed before it was even 2pm. Had minimal options to choose from in the cabinet but we were starving and in a rush so stayed anyway. Food was OK but definitely not worth the attitude from the server who seemed like any little request was like us asking for a kidney. You're in customer service sweetheart & we were nothing but polite pull your head in and put a smile on your face. We will not be returning sadly.

Good selection and variety of dishes. Good counter service. Pleased to have a coffee shop that can make and knows what a black coffee/americano is with out all the issues.

The service and atmosphere was good. The food, what little there was, was also good. However 2 small rashers of bacon for $23 was not good in my opinion.Food: 2/5

We eat here often, good food, great coffee and friendly staff. It is quite cold in winter even with the fire or heat pump going and the brown tables could do with a do-up.

Service was okay. Atmosphere was poor, the manager I presume was sat at a table shouting across the room. Smoothie was like flavoured water, not worth $9. Heard the manager and an employee having a loud spät in the kitchen. 1 star, won't return.Food: 4/5

The Presentation of our meals plus the small portion size left us very disappointed compared to other eateries in Taupo. On the plus side coffee was good.

Hmmm, having an off day I hope. Not as good as other Columbus Coffees. Ungracious staff. Unfortunate, because the rest of Mitre10 Taupo are awesome.

Consistently good blueberry muffins. The sausage roll was good the relish was delicious. Our son gave the Belgium hit chocolate a thumbs up. Our mocha latte hit the spot. The menu in the cabinet stays the same. However in saying that there is something for everyone. Good little inside playground for the little ones. Also they have a fire if it’s cold.

The iced coffee I had was absolutely tasteless, and the iced chocolate my husband had was terribly artificial tasting. Was not impressed by the service either. Disappointing! Huge contrast between our awesome Columbus Coffee shop in Takanini Mitre 10.

Columbus anywhere is always worth a visit. This one was no exception, good food, friendly staff in and huge nursery to browse if you're a gardener.
