The Civic Story
CIVIC New Zealand was officially launched on December 1st 1998 with 28 stores under the name Civic. The group represented a wealth of experience with many store owners having been in the industry for more than five years - some being original pioneers clocking in more than 15 years each. Today the group has expanded to over 50 stores nationwide.
In early 2007 the group head office relocated from Parnell, Auckland to their new premises located in Epsom. The move allows CIVIC to introduce additional support services to the group and house the staff required to run these systems. In recent years, Civic has transformed into CIVIC, a truer reflection of where the business sits today, renting the likes of DVD, Blu-ray and the latest gaming products.
