Columbus Coffee

I had an unpleasant experience a year ago, ordered mince dish had a sharp piece of broken plastic glass in my dish, had it I’m my mouth. Luckily I didn’t bite or was injured. I informed the servers who were shocked and informed the chef said he didn’t know how it got there. I said to them what if was a child. They gave me free coffee cards, but I felt sorry for the workers. So I decided to keep it quiet no fuss. I’ve been back since, only ordered coffee and pancakes no glass fragments since in my meals.

Playground area is great for the kids but sadly some days the food is very average. Cheese scone is more a savory scone full of spinach, muffins very crumbly and dry. Coffee is ok. Fairly pricey but expectedFood: 1/5

Having brekky at Mitre 10 is as normal as looking for a new power saw. A pleasingly aesthetic Eatery with a delicious menu with seating also in the garden area. They also have a play area with seating. Mushrooms sautéed or in cream especially delicious. Omelet, big brekky was delicious and a lot of scrambled eggs with bacon in one dish. We had a very pleasing breakfast to put us in a good mood to shop for shelving and storage bins. Water dispenser has both still and sparkling water ice cold too. Good way to start a working morning. Opens at 8am.

I wish all egg bene breakfasts were like this one. Eggs perfectly cooked, no gooey white, still runny yolk. Almost too much bacon, and ciabatta.. not the rock hard holey sour dough of the inner city. Coffee was good. Its set inside the garden centre part of mitre 10 so nice view too. Thanks :

Today my husband had the Columbus breakfast & was so very pleased with his meal, he also had a delicious mocha. His rating was 10 out of 10. I had the salmon eggs bene breakfast & omg was absolutely perfect & the cappuccino was also perfect. We have had meals like this at other little cafe's while out & about in the weekends & I must say this has to be our absolute best Well done ladies keep up the great work, will definitely visit again soon.

First time visiting this particular CC. Ordered a couple of caramel frappe's. Honestly worst I've had in my life. Tasted like watered down milk powder tbh. Perhaps a visit to Starbucks could give them an idea of what a frappe should be like. The caramel latte coffees were not only served incorrect and sent back but came back tasting so burnt its undrinkable. Honestly the worst $51 ive ever spent in my life. Positive notes, the play area is super convenient for parents with your kids. Might be worth the visit if you willing to drink only water.

Update Friday 19 Jan 24. Went back today and had a very different experience. Had Farmers Breakfast and Ultimate omelet. Both were delicious. Even had gas in the sparkling water. Much improved and a pleasure once again to have brunch there. Well done Columbus. Dined in on Sunday 14 Jan 24 and had our worst experience ever. 1. No gas in in the sparkling water not so bad, it happens. 2. Ordered eggs benedict x 2, 1 on Ciabatta and 1 on Rosti extra cost. My order came first on Ciabatta within a reasonable time, however, it was warm only and the ciabatta was untoasted and not buttered at all strike 2. 3. My wifes order arrived and they had the order wrong, it was on the same untoasted ciabatta and not rosti. They took it back when I pointed this out and then returned with the correct order only a few minutes later. The problem was they were the same eggs and everything was cold, including the rosti which were not even properly heated through strike 3. Worst experience ever and seriously doubt we will be back. Very very average and not impressed.

Probably that's why they are hiring a new cafe manager. The girls at front clearly need a manager to advise what to do. Took 15 mins to get a Latte, and the worst taste I have had in last ten yearsFood: 1/5

We waited an hour for our breakfast. All four meals arrived at different times. The poached egg and bacon meal was stone cold and unpleasant to eat. I had the pancakes, which was clearly store bought frozen pancakes that were heated in a microwave as they were too hard to cut . I tried eating some of it but gave up half way through. Overall very disappointing!

The food was excellent and well-presented. Highly recommend it to all ages. Great hospitality and the coffee was great and even had the impression of a teddy bear on it and it was so cute my wife didn't want to drink it. Overall superb experience. Kid-friendliness: My kids enjoyed and had fun
