Being a truck driver, I have traveled past this place many times and have always wanted to give it a try.nMy wife and I were going to N.Ply for the weekend so we thought we would stop in and we had a wonderful lunch here. The eggs bene was one of the best I've had and Im normally not an eggs bene person.nThe waitresses were very attentive, polite with a warm smile.nThe outside courtyard was wonderfully presented with ample places to get some shade, whether it be a sun umbrella or a gazebo structure, and this was needed on our visit seeing it was a 28⁰ scorcher.nWe will definitely be going back here and I'd highly recommend this place to anyone passing through.
My friend and I were recommended by Ash from Amity Motel to try Malones. We had to wait a few minutes while a table was prepared for us. The food was top notch. We shared a serving of garlic bread, definitely enough for two! I had the special of the day, lamb shank with mash and fresh greens. The mint jus was delicious. My friend had the ribs which just fell off the bone. The chips were crispy and fresh. And just because we felt like something sweet, we shared a sticky date pudding. One serving definitely enough for two. We highly recommend this restaurant, but make sure you are very hungry as the portions are huge. Sorry did not take pictures of our food
I was quiet surprised how busy this little venue is for a little town.nnI stayed an extra night due to flights being cancelled due to bad weather and we came here for dinner.nnTasty garlic bread for starter. Decent portion for 3 people.nnWe have a serving of large fish n chips.came with a decent salad great meal and we also got 2 chicken fettuccines. Large portions packed with flavour.nnOnly one of us could do the dessert challenge!nnKeep up the good work guys!
The food and drinks are fantastic!nWe had the Scotch Fillet 260g medium with peppercorne sauce and a Tui beer which I can highly recommend. Also the staff was super friendly!
Took all afternoon to get our lunch when it wasnt even that busy. Overcooked old chips and looks like the chicken breast has been cut right down to save money that it barely exists.nAlso found it unfriendly and it had an unrelaxing atmosphere with staff constantly always rushing around you. Use to be our go to local but we won't be going back.
