SILVERDALE • WARKWORTH. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent. BJJ is not solely a martial art, it is also a sport; a method for promoting physical fitness and building character in young people and, ultimately, a way of life.

Fantastic environment for your kids to learn BJJ. Friendly supportive team and atmosphere.
Its fair to say I'm a fan boy. The club is well set up, easy going and emphasize courtesy, respect and ethics as much as technique and fitness. The coaches are really knowledgeable, and teach for sport, competition and self defense. Being a part of this club feels more like family than simply a paid membership.

Have just been visiting Auckland over Xmas and Coast BJJ has been awesome. Really friendly great team of people, nice facilities and I felt very welcome straight away. I had heaps of fun. Highly recommend this place to anyone thinking about it. I’ll be back next year for sure!! OSS
