Clevedon Kidz curriculum is based on programmes that are 'planned' in response to each child's development, knowledge, interests, skills and dispositions.
Babies and toddlers are able to develop at their own pace. An environment is created and reset appropriately to support individual needs and natural progression with relaxed time and space to explore. This allows for freedom of movement and for children to explore on their own or with others, as well as developing their confidence and independence. By having unhurried, familiar routines children become settled. These routines are seen as valuable learning time, and foster and build a positive relationship between the child and teacher through secure attachment connections.

We implement the Principles and Goals of Te Whāriki (New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum) throughout our curriculum, which aims to support children's learning and development. The teachers incorporate a programme which reflects the individual learning styles of each child, encouraging reciprocal relationships between the child, their peers, parents, whānau and wider community. As they explore and learn we endeavour to empower children to develop into capable and competent learners.
