Chiwahwah Mexican Bar

A good 3rd experience. This was our 3rd visit to Chiwahwah. It was as enjoyable as the previous 2 visits. On all three occasions, the place was full and buzzing. We were served by Emily whose service was friendly and cheerful. We shared a few vegetarian dishes between 4 of us. I will happily go back here another time!

Great location, great atmosphere. Went to Chiwahwahs for lunch, managed to get a table outside, great view to the lovely Avon River and surrounding area. The menu has so many choices. The food we chose was delicious. Will have to go back again to try more. Also have a awesone choice of beverages. The service was excellent. It was busy at the restaurant but the staff walked around checking in and refilling our glasses of waterwas needed as it was a warm sunny day Had heard great things about this place and it certainly matched them all. Will definitely be back and would have no hesitation to recommend.

I always get the beast board without thinking. Totally worth it! Great quality meat. I always love the atmosphere in this place. It’s fast, busy and always great for people watching. For an easy dish I recommend the nachos. It’s huge. Staff are usually friendly and take on feedback very well.

Love the frozen cocktail. Lamb skewers were awesome! Nachos was too huge for the 3 of us though. Wait staff were friendly and attentive.

Beautiful food and drinks, we had a great waitress. Ambience and decor was perfect. Next time will book earlier than 8pm as we felt pushed along by hovering wait staff, when hadn't finished, wanting to set up the nightclub.

Took the kids on holiday in christchurch and chiwahwah and zodiac were on our places to go list. Beautiful atmosphere, loved the frozen margaritas! Gorgeous and delicious mocktails for the kids, and huge servings! This restaurant is truly an experience with the decor. Great service with a smile, and didn't have to wait long to be served. Highly recommend. Dietary restrictions: We have no dietary restrictions, however they did ask, and told us they can cater for all

Was my first time here and it was delish! Will definitely be back. Service was awesome also. We got the crispy chicken and crispy chicken with salad. The potato's and cornchips with salsa and guacamole. The guacamole was next level amazing!

Loved the different lights hanging, even though it was very dark inside and almost turned my phone light on in order to see my food . The guac and corn chips were yummy loved the seeds on top of the guac. The shaken Margarita was good. Relaxing enjoyable surroundings. Would go again Food: 5/5

Service was excellent. Ribs My Wife and I had were absolutely amazing! Really, the atmosphere for a Tuesday night was awesome. This place is a 10/10. Food and cocktails 11/10.

I’ve been here couple times. Delicious food nice ambience. Better book table even it’s early weekday.
