If you head to Paihia, it’s worth coming here for lunch or dinner. Have been here for both and the experience and service has been fantastic. Great water views, tasty food, efficient service and simply nice vibes. Came today for lunch. Seafood was delicious. My mithrr enjoyed the large, fresh oysters. Service wonderful. Cocktails all around. Enjoy coming here and bringing visitors from out of town. Highly recommend.
The staff are friendly & accommodating. Loved the atmosphere. Fantastic view. We booked online for 11:30 got there & were told that kitchen doesn’t open till 12nn which was disappointing. Apparently we shouldn’t have been able to book for 11:30. Obviously there’s an error in their website. Yet, staff are welcoming and made sure we are comfortably seated and thanks for that!nFood was not as spectacular as we have imagined after the reviews we’ve read. Food was average with small serving sizes too. Coffees, which we’ve been waiting for were okay but not as good as we expected. Will we be back? No. I’m sure others will enjoy but we had our taste to it.
We ate here last Saturday following a recommendation from our accommodation hosts. We booked for 6 pm, which was worth doing. Our food was very nice and the staff were helpful and friendly.nOur starter of deep fried cauliflower with Chimichirri, mains of snapper on risotto and pork belly followed by lemon tart and ice cream was super tasty, we had a great meal
Staff are so friendly. The vibe is nice and relaxing. Lovely view. We had pizza, pork knuckle, lamb rib and a Kids Hawaiian pizza. They all are delicious and amazing. I recommend you to reserve the knuckle in advance which is worth it. The dish surprised me most was the lamb rib.
The pita bread and lamb ribs were so salty, we could not taste anything but the salt. The lamb was all fat and bones, maybe 3 bites of meat in total. In the photo is an entire plate of the bones and fat we cut out of the lamb dish. Terrible. The worst restaurant meal we've ever had. We are in our 70's and have eaten out a lot.nnAvoid this place. Go to Zane Grey instead. It is 2 minutes away from Charlotte's. We had a good meal there.
