Catalina Bay is a Willis Bond & Co project masterplanned by Cheshire Architects - a 1.8 hectare waterfront precinct set to become one of the most exciting destinations in Auckland.
Catalina Bay is a 1.8 hectare waterfront precinct in Hobsonville Point set to become one of the most exciting destinations in Auckland.
Developed by Willis Bond & Co and masterplanned by Cheshire Architects, Catalina Bay is proposed to follow a four stage plan with the first stage focusing on the refurbishment of existing heritage buildings on site. Three further stages are planned to include 60-80 quality apartments alongside a mixture of commercial, hospitality and retail tenancies.
At the core of the Catalina Bay development is the area's Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) hangars and buildings. Originally built circa 1928, the location became Auckland’s premiere flying boat base where it housed and flew the Sunderland and Catalina seaplanes. This history will echo through the design and development.
