Would not pay $45 for the service I got. Arrived 2 mins late looking for the shop and my total duration of cut was 20 mins which clearly listed 30 mins on the booking. At the start of the cut I strictly asked for a skin fade and he failed to deliver what I told him specifically. took 20 mins to do an average 0 fade which I can get for $20 not $45 I asked at the end if I could grab a refund for messing up my hair but only got $5 discount . First and last time I’ll ever be getting my hair done at your shop.
Cant recommend carve on plimmer steps anymore. Used to be a place my boyfriend enjoyed. Have watched him get a cut a few times here. They used to do a good job but lately the fades have been very bad. To the point he had been laughed at by mates and even colleagues have told him that it's really bad. There were always lines or patches in the fade. The few times I sat and watched i never saw him sanitize clippers before the next client and dropped scissors on the floor and continued to use it. Same clumps of hair on mirrors since last year. Bf just stopped going but I thought I'd share as I hope you make improvements.
I hadn't been to Carve in 4 years living outside NZ for a stint, and they still provide the same high level of service. Their barbers are well trained, and polite. Dan was my barber. He was attentive to my requests, but also offered advice about what style I should go for etc. 5/5, definitely make these guys your go-to barbers. I'll be booking in monthly!
Been here a few times before but today has to have been my favorite. Matt did a great job with both the look of my haircut as well as making sure my head and neck were properly cleaned of hairs. Not to mention the great chat. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys.
Great barbers, very professional! I have very long hair so was super nervous going to a barbers to get it cut, but Dillon was a fantastic hairdresser and cut my hair better than any professional salon has cut it before. Great hairdresser, even better bloke. Would recommend to anyone, especially guys with long hair!
Had a great cut from Isaac. He had some great advice about length & style and the chat was excellent too. Would definitely come back next time I’m in Wellington.
Called up short notice looking for a haircut and they were able to take me straight away. Awesome customer service, complimentary beverage and really personable people. Really happy with the job they did and a really great location in the middle of town 10/10.
Chilled out atmosphere, friendly staff, fantastic beard trim. Got my beard trimmed by Dylan, talked through what he was doing, how he was doing it and checked that was how you wanted it done the entire time. Highly recommend!
Don't even bother going if you're not a man, you'll get turned away. Thought I'd pop into the closest barbershop to my workplace for a cut during my lunch break, but was refused. I've never had any problems anywhere else with asking for a men's cut. Get with the times.
