I went to Dover from here. They charge you £5 for single ticket from Canterbury to Dover and the bus route number is 15.
Great bus service, the staff bus drivers were very helpful, bought 1 week bus pass and used it every day to visit several seaside resorts. No need for a car with such a good bus service.
Be careful where you walk, the path can lead you without warning to where the bus drivers are drinking tea and larking about. There's no gate or signage to tell you the path has lead you in to their territory, and that they have shut off the entrance to the town wall. But that doesn't stop them being rude and abrasive that you are in their tea spot. Do the logical thing and put in a gate.
It's a bus station. That's about it. Most bus stops are covered but not much else there
Completely utterly hopeless. Hopeless! The bus shelter is always overcrowded, people pushing and shoving, been accused of queue jumping, the buses are late! Why Stagecoach must you make our lives such a misery?!! Just be ON TIME for once!!!!
Extremely busy with school kids, alot of people had been waiting for a bus to run,it is a very busy bus station.
You can get buses that go all around kent from this bus station. It is reasonably clean and litter free. At busy times it is literally impossible to get on a bus due to people cramming themselves under the shelter. I would only recommend getting the bus here if you have no other option. If you can I would recommend taking the train.
The bus drivers have provided invaluable service over Lockdown. Bus timetables have changed so check the Stagecoach app. Must wear mask on bus. They do not give change. Tickets can be bought on the app too.
Bus station is itself clean, but finding help can be difficult, and buses can be irregular
The bus station is the transport centre of Canterbury, connecting the centre with both the surrounding towns and other parts of the city. It’s proximity to Whitefriars is useful for those travelling to shop or eat and the on-site travel office is useful for left luggage and general enquiries about services. Unfortunately, the service operating in and out of the bus station is not so reliable. While ticket fares continue to rise, the buses are often late, dirty and uncomfortable. A lot has been done to try and rectify this by introducing new buses and altering timetables but these times are more idealistic than anything else, especially with the traffic problems in Canterbury. At peak times, the bus station can be very hard to walk through due to the sheer number of people which can be a challenge for those with disabilities. Although the operator cannot change then number of passengers, perhaps a queuing system could be implemented to ease flow of people.
