Camping - Whitianga

Sad to see the birds in such small enclosures. The park was outdated and a run down. We found it unsettling to see the birds displayed without attempt to create a natural environment for them. Many of the animals seemed depressed, and in no way could they behave as they would in their nature.

Fantastic variety of birds as well as other animals, beautifully kept grounds too. Lovely friendly hosts & very comfortable accommodation & facilities. Highly recommended can't wait to return :

The visit here was a lot of fun - Great variety of birds, huge aviary where lorikeets can be fed, they sat on our shoulders and heads. The owner was extremely friendly and took out a blue macaw and let it sit on our arms! Very affordable too, great experience overall.

Very cool place! More people should know about this place!

Nice park with good range of birds. We couldn't try the train as it was wet when we went. Had a kids play area and bikes to ride. The ride to the park from main road is bumpy but worth visiting.
