Excellent food. I have a few people to catch up with. Went to Cafe Tennyson for the first time last week. Such wonderful food I went again today. I plan on going again this week as I have one more person to see. I can't wait to see what there is to choose from this time!
Let’s start with a coffee that was super delicious. Thanks to the barista. I had the eggs Benedict with spinach and couldn’t choose between toast or hash brown so they put one on each very delicious good service, friendly staff, clean and tidy surroundings. Thanks team definitely recommend. And then I went back Yummy!!!!!
1st time here, really nice spot. Sat outside in the sun. Coffee was excellent and hot. Food was good and would go again next time we are there.Service: 5/5

Had brunch there yesterday. Was 'only' smashed avocado on Sour dough toast & grilled halloumi, but "OH MY!!!" the BEST CAFE FOOD I have ever had in Hawkes Bay. THE BEST!!!! Coffee was great too Rooms: 4/5
The Tennison Cafe, nice looking area, yummy refreshing iced chocolate and iced coffee. Thanks for chocolate cookie dough icecream delicious . Nice young man serving meals, keeps looking my way while I was drinking I was sitting in corner table with my mum. He's got dark hair looked very nice... Checking me out lolz I had purple jeans and blue top on. Anyway had an amazing time in your Cafe.
Lovely little place. I had a slice and my husband had a croissant. My waitress was extremely nice and competent, there was a wait time but she let us know in advance so no shock.
Burger was really good. But I'd seen them post about their pizza oven, and I wanted pizza. Which was on the menu on their website. So I turned up. Turns out there is two completely different websites for before and after 4pm. Pizza wasn't available till after 4. You should fix this as it's very confusing.Service: 3/5
WOW The Tennyson turns into a beautiful pizza & pasta place in the evening. 6 of my friends and I went here for the first time last night and it was amazing!!! To the delicious cocktails, house Syrah, focaccia, bruschetta and the amazing fresh pizzas! And don’t forget the impeccable service. We left very satisfied and full but not gross full you usually get after eating a whole pizza, it was so light and just right!! We will definitely be back and bring even more friends.
