CAFE 116 at the Pillars

Absolutely stunning customer servicenEverything was very clean and well kept,nAt the time of me going, it was almost a full house but all the staff managed to keep smiles on their faces and get things done quickly and efficiently with no hasslesnEverything was priced fairly and accordinglynFood was absolutely amazing. The chips were sooo good. Ive never found a cafe thst does chips as good as 116. by far cafe 116 is my new favorite cafe. I will definitely be coming back

I was very impressed with cafe. Staff were nice and polite, meal was as fresh and tasty as described without a huge price tag. The other impressive thing was the toilets, whilst there was a disability one there were 2 others which were of a decent cubicle sizing making it comfortable for some of the larger customers. 100% would recommend to others. My wife and I were in Palmy house hunting. While doing the Milson area we stopped at the Pillars for lunch. They were busy but we were treated to a fantastic EVERYTHING. Orders were taken quickly and accurately, brought to our table promptly, coffee was delicious, the scones were warm with butter, and the Mango Cheesecake can only be called scrumptious, plus the pieces were large. We went back 3 days later. This time the cheesecake was 'Boysenberry'. So large we had to share it, and it was tastier than the Mango one. The staff were very busy but treated everyone with a pleasant smile on their faces and a quiet word at all times. Nothing was too much bother, no matter what the person's age. We will definitely be back.

Had brunch here on Saturday morning. It seems like a pretty popular spot as it was very busy in there. I had the omelette which was nice although could have done with another slice of toast for a better omelette to toast ratio. The big breakfast was good with cheesy sausages. The burger was also good although came with no sauce for the fries. The service was quite slow and I wasn’t acknowledged for a few minutes at the counter while the server did some other things. Overall it was a pretty good experience

After seeing all the good reviews & hearing from friends, thought I give this place a try. Sorry to write that I was disappointed with my Big Breakfast as my bacon & mushrooms were burnt! My colleague didn't even eat her burnt bacon. Mushrooms were paper thin & made worse when they were burnt.
