What is CACTUS
CACTUS is a physical training & self discipline course for young people ages 10 -14yrs. Running over an 8 week period, it is a physically and mentally challenging course, designed to motivate youth towards individual and team achievement.
CACTUS is not a counseling course or punitive programme. It exists to encourage young people to expand their thinking, take initiative and learn their inner strengths and abilities.
The CACTUS programme runs 3 days a week, after school between 3:45pm & 4;45pm. It operates during the school term and is followed by a weekend overnight camp.
Who runs CACTUS
The CACTUS programme s run by a team of committed instructors who design the course to maximise the benefit for each individual trainee. Our staff work to ensure that each trainee reaches their own potential and not that of other member o the group. The course also encourages trainee to wok as a team to achieve higher goals.
The Challenge
The CACTUS programme requires a high level of discipline from its participants. This is required for the wide variety of activities to proceed safely and allow trainees to achive their intended goals. Parents are encouraged to support their young people in their process and to drop in at any time to view CACTUS sessions.
The Benefits
The CACTUS programme aims to improve self discipline and self esteem, build confidence and improve physical fitness, while assisting trainees to set and achieve personal and team goals.
