Dangerous place to visit. Great coffee & hot drinks plus the desserts are fantastic. We went there for the food and drink not the internet which there isn't any but when your eating great chocolate and drinking real chocolate who cares...if you do then go somewhere else. Your there to enjoy and eat not to work. Great service and comfortable chairs.
What a horrible experience we had. Walked in, two boys behind the counter. No hello no nothing. One table was occupied with some elderly people. There is a menu at the table. Waited for 15 minutes for one of them to come and take our order. Nothing happened while the two of them enjoyed some conversation. I got up and went to them to place an order. Asked them for a Pink milkshake for my kid. They said we don't have. I asked on the menu you have vanilla shake with three berries syrup. The guy said NO. I said it's in the menu. He said NO, we don't have. Service was pathetic to say the least. We wanted to spoil ourselves with some overpriced chocolate. After that attitude, we got up and went at other place which we had fantastic service. This chocolate shop is pretty average, nothing to cry about. For a butler place does not live up to their own expectations. This was my first and last time there. Glad didn't spend anything on them.
Don't want to rage but this is possibly the worst place I ever worked at, had to walk away without notice, which is unlike me, but that's how bad it was. Staff are overworked and overlooked, all the while being paid minimum wage and taken money out of their wage if you're down more than $5 at the end of day cashing up which is supposed to be the manager's responsibility. I worked there 3 yrs ago over Christmas, doing amazing at sales, and was rewarded with all my leaves pay discarded when I walked off as punishment yeah, illegal. So if you are a customer, remember there is a reason why sometimes we don't smile, especially after working so hard for so little, so don't be too harsh. And if you're the owner, well you should sit down and rethink your business model, because maybe by not overworking your staff you won't have to rely on such pathetic turnover. Oh, and before I forget, Fk you, Warmest regards,,,
Not crowded and busy Christmas holiday time Enjoyed their hot chocolateFood: 5/5
I always head into Butlers for a takeaway coffee when I pick up a game from EB games next door. Decided to sit in this time and enjoy the beautiful decor inside the shop. Really nice chocolate and coffee, I usually order a Mocha with Caramel or White Mocha. I look forward to trying one of their milkshakes the next time I go in. Always great service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Pretty decent flavours and selection in a friendly and accommodating, cosy little store! I visited for a Valentine's gift and was glad I did! Not what is generally considered inexpensive, however worth the expense in my opinion. I would happily recommend!
Good selection of counter food and good coffee with the added bonus of a free chocolate with your drink. Service is good with friendly staff.Food: 3/5
My partner and I walked in to unfriendly service. We ordered a iced latte, cheescake and piece of chocolate. The iced latte was watery, the cheesecake was actually quite unpleasant in texture, and the chocolate came with fluff cabinet particles all over it. I asked for a replacement chocolate from an unapologetic waitress and it was not much better. Between the two of us we didn't even get half way through anything. And definitely didn't touch the chocolate. Won't go back
Just awful. The food tastes bad. The servers don't know what is going on. A total waste of money and time.
What is not to like about a place that feels like a comfortable blanket? It's consistent in it's food offerings and chocolates, either solid or in hot liquid form. Who doesn't like choosing a chocolate that comes on a little dish to be tasted with their coffee or tea? I like the range of counter food that includes the delicious white chocolate cake and the domed red, glazed delight. The staff are pleasant and helpful. I especially like the loyalty program and loyal I am to it's good coffee, comfy, no hard edges, chocky presence which provides a nice place to restore oneself or meet a friend. For edgier food I can go somewhere else but for a warm blanky experience, I come here.
