Story

Busy Minds Early Learning Centre provides a small ‘home away from home’ environment where every child is in control of their own learning; initiating it from their own unique interests, creativity and their desire to find out all they can about the world around them - continually feeding their Busy Minds.

The maximum number of children at Busy Minds at any one time is 30, ensuring that every child and their families are given individual attention as well as allowing the Busy Minds family to be an extension of your family.

The Busy Minds teaching team are 100% New Zealand qualified early childhood teachers that are recognised, supported and respected by one another – having many years of experience with pre-school aged children.
Their role is that of a facilitator, being there to offer assistance and guidance to the children when required.

Children from four years on are exposed to a 'readiness for school' programme. This programme has been developed in conjunction with our main feeder primary schools.
By offering such a programme children are given the best possible start to their future learning by developing the necessary skills in science, numeracy and literacy. The programme encourages and promotes physical and self- help skills and values the importance of independence.
Children attending Busy Minds are encouraged to build positive relationships, explore, test and enhance their own abilities, develop independence, creativity and life time skills in an environment where having fun can be seen and laughter can be heard.
