Best in the Bay! Moved back to HB in the recent months and we were trying to find a new local fish and chip shop but kept getting disappointed, until we got a feed from here. Good amounts of chips, super yum and fresh tasting fish and really decently priced. Had the fish burger it was delicious. Thanks guys will definitely come back!

Since coming to NZ 5 years ago and being a lover of fish and chips, this was the first ever I bought that was actually enjoyable and not sweet tasting like all the others. The fish broke into little bits when dishing up, but still tasted good. I think I found my match

Still waiting on a refund from before Xmas for really horrible food. Used to go here heaps. Wont be going back, they have really gone downhill

This was the worst fish and chip shop I’ve ever been to in my whole life. The owner was busy watching Netflix and playing on his phone to give a remote toss about staff and productivity. The cook was inexperienced or mentally challenged, and could only cook chips which turned out to be way undercooked, and the other cook was a 14 year old girl who shouldn’t be in a kitchen. My meal was a 1/10, service 1/10, pricing was 1/10. I will never go back.

Fish was awful. Seriously folks give it a miss, it's inedible. Chips excellent though and Burgers awesome for the price. Don't get the fish though......trust meFood: 3/5

Was so disappointed. My friend warned me not to order from them because they are typically greasy so i asked specifically for extra cripsy fish and chips. The serving size of chips was good but it was really disappointing to have cold plain chips with little colour with not any browning or crispy edge in sight. The fish batter was stuck to the paper and fell apart when picked up. They werent busy when i picked up so not sure why the barely cooked chips needed 20 mins but id have never had a problem if they were actually crispy liked asked. Honestly wish i could get the money back, nobody ate the food.

Ordered for 1st time, will be the last. Ordered on uber eats, a Hawaiian burger, paid for an egg to be added, no egg and no pineapple either. Meat patty tasted shocking, loaded with chemicals. Please don't bother with this place. Other reviews are bang on. Worst fish n chips in the country. 1 star because I have to warn others

Absolutely LOVE the food in this shop. It's always cooked to perfection, you need a spatula to transfer the fish onto a plate as it's cooked so perfectly it falls apart. The chips are amazing. The coffee is awesome, there's no need to go to town for a coffee as their's are smooth, rich and divine. Honestly, if you haven't already been there give it a go you certainly won't regret it, you may find yourself changing chippies as I have.
