If I could give 0 stars, I would. Firstly, we were ignored while standing at the counter to order to the point that customers lining up behind us had to ask if we had already ordered... I had to ask the person if they were taking orders because they were working right in front of me and didn't acknowledge me at all. Then while I was waiting, I saw how disgusting the floors and food preparation was. I didn't even finish my meal because the thought of what the fridge and other areas customers can't see must be like grossed me out so much. There was rubbish all over the floor and an over flowing bin. The workers were at first wearing gloves, but then using the gloves to touch the registers and then going back to making food... But by the time my food was made, they had no gloves on... Many workers were touching their hair/face and then touching the food without gloves on. I won't be back, completely mortified.
Service was great, I didn't even have to stand up though they seem adamant to serve you right where you were. The music they played was very homey feeling as a young adolescent myself. Food is always a 10/10, and cleanliness was top notch. Parking: Great location. Small dense area for parking but it makes due with the businesses there. Dietary restrictions: I felt prioritized with my needs and certain allergies. Burgerfuel is like the royalty of maccas so deffs a treat.

Ordered online. Got given the wrong bag with the wrong order. Called and sorted out coming to pick up what I actually ordered. Fairly pleasant on the phone but nothing special. When I got back to pick up my actual order I was given side eye and abrupt rudeness. No sorry, no offer of compensation. Nothing. Just attitude.
It may be because its full of young people that it took 40 mins to get 3 burgers and 2 fries. Not very organized, and the music is dreadful. Otherwise the burgers are usually good, although you will get the occasional over-cooked patty that's dryer that a desert. Prices are disgusting, so not somewhere you'd frequent, unless you have more money than brains.
Absolutely stunning food, was way more filling than expected, so I ordered too much. Burger Fuel is expensive, so come expecting to spend a bit more than your average burger joint. You'll come away feeling more statisfied in your belly though. They were beautifully made, very full flavoured burgers, which was just perfect. The restaurant was a bit cold, I was glad to get back to my warm car. My only gripe
Busy place on a Friday evening. Initial service friendly enough however the support crew, even though numbering 9, could not cope with the pressure, probably due to an evident lack of leadership and coordination. Half an hour wait was mentioned, which was fair enough as we could see they were busy, however, after enquiring at the 50 minutes mark, we were told in a matter of fact kind of way that the docket had been lost, no apologies offered. It took another 10 minutes to complete the order, in all, 1 hour to make 1 burger and 1 Kumara chips. To add to this, we discovered they managed to serve a different burger than what we ordered. Not impressed. Maybe a ‘manager’ with real leadership and properly leading the operation could have avoided these disappointments. By the way, there seems to be a few other people who enquired as to their orders timing…we may not have been the only ones dissatisfied with their experience of Burger Fuel Porirua?!?
Takeaway is a bit of a joke. You state the time slot and you always end up standing in store for at least 25 mins waiting for your food. What is the point of a time slot if you can't make it on time? Food is pretty good but the service really sucks. Cooks in kitchen just chatting away and in no hurry either.Food: 4/5
Great ambience! We ordered Bio Fuel and Bacon BBQ with kumara fries and chicken tenders. They all tasted amazing, as what we tried in other stores in NZ. The service was not too quick tho, given there were other customers waiting but somehow those had takeways were served first? and we ordered a lot haha. Love their aioli and will visit again next time!
Absolutely disgusted. Went to eat in & could barely hear my own thoughts. The music was super loud & the speaker used sounded horrible! Plus most the songs had the Nword & profanity! I also watched one of the boys drop the cloth he used to wipe down the tables there was about 8 people in the kitchen yet a on break in mufti worker served us? I kindly told one of the male workers “hey the music is honestly really bad & loud” he shrugged and walked off. I felt super uncomfortable and felt I couldn’t enjoy my meal
