Wonderful place to shop for your DIY projects. Staff were very friendly/social and very knowledgeable with the products they have in store. I come here most times for tools and storage and a sausage sizzle lots of parking.
We wanted to buy two pegboards and went to Porirua store. It had only one bent one but we were told Petone store had 13 of them in stock. So we went to Petone and saw one bent one on the shelf. We asked staff there and were told they did have them but items were in GI and it was likely they would be taken out on the shelf in 2-3 days. So we went to Lyall Bay store, which said in stock according to Bunnings website. Again, there was nothing on the shelf. We asked staff Sam and her customer service was mind-blowing. She did not only check if they had them in stock again they had plenty in GI, she asked for permission to grab them from GI for us. We were so glad our half day trips around Wellington weren't wasted - a happy day! Thank you so much for your professionalism and kindness, Sam. She's the best hardware store staff member we have dealt with!

Big range of products. Helpful staff with the exception of the paint department early in the morning. Well set out store with knowledgeable staff not far away. Plants are not top quality and are ok if you don't expect 100% survival rate. Check other goods for damage before purchasing. Christmas stock now in store.nnI loved the wide aisles that used to be here. Now I find they are cluttering them with products in/on display stands. Quite the pain to get past if there's another shopping trolley in the aisle, or to get what is on the shelf.nnGood range of nice looking plastic pots that aren't flimsy.
