Breaking Beats is a promotion company based in Wellington NZ - Run By Chris Keimig & Sam Hopper
In early 2012 Chris Keimig & Sam Hopper a.k.a Gimik & Method had a vision to create something special, something different from the rest, something that would turn their wildest dreams into reality – This is when there brainchild Breaking Beats Promotion was born…
Hailing from Wanaka in the deep south of New Zealand where the population exceeded just a little over 4000, Chris and Sam’s love for bass culture was born after countless drum and bass party’s in and out of Wanaka and endless nights of mixing vinyl on substandard equipment in the back of an old caravan.
In early 2010 the boys decided to take there love to Wellington where there passion for bass music grew more and more until that itch to build an empire had to be scratched.
It wasn’t until early 2012 when they approached Fast Eddies night club owner Grant Beban who saw the passion & desire in there eyes and allowed them to host there first drum and bass night which went off with an absolute bang and to this day is proving to be one of the best local nights the club has to offer!
Since then Breaking Beats Promotion have supplied endless epic party’s in & out of Wellington hosting huge names from all around the globe. Their consistency and unrivaled quality has seen the name grow & grow setting a firm reputation in the Wellington drum and bass Scene.
Co-Owner Sam Hopper has recently taken Breaking Beats Promotion to Australia to branch out in the Brisbane Drum and Bass scene to further the Breaking Beats name even more.
2014 is set to be a massive year for Breaking Beats Promotion now based in New Zealand & Australia with some huge acts confirmed from some of the biggest record labels in the game including Hospital Records, Virus Recordings, Viper Recordings & State of Mind Music.
