Being around Easter I was surprised that I managed to get a booking at Breakers for my party of 10. When we got there we were served straight away and nothing was a problem all the staff on Monday were absolutely awesome. Thank you so very much for an awesome night away from cooking we had such a great time we lost track of time as you were closing up. Thank you so much for an awesome night we will definitely be back really soon. Kid-friendliness: They have a play area which the kids loved Parking: About 30 carparks if you use the shopping complex next door Dietary restrictions: We had one person who was gluten free and they went out of the way to check what she was able to have.
Upon entering Breakers on a Sunday evening with no reservation, as we were not planning on being in Palmerston North, we were met with the friendliest waitress with the hugest smile. She had no hesitation in explaining the procedure around eating at Breakers, the specials board, and we could sit wherever we wanted. Ordering was a breeze, press the button at the table and hey presto a waitress appears. The below photos are the fish and chips, you even got to choose battered or crumbed fish and the mussels in a garlic sauce. As dinner was served the sun was setting in the hills and causing a glare, there was no hesitation in asking if I wanted the blind lowered. Top service, but only a four star due to the amount of grit left in my mussels. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be back
We had a large group. All drinks ordered and came out quickly. Then meals were all ordered together when group all there. Meals all came out at the same time and were delicious. Friendly staff. Parking: ample parking
Went with my daughter for her 14th birthday lunch today. After waiting 20 minutes, I had to go and find someone to take our order. Her lunch arrived and after waiting 25 minutes I asked when my lunch would be arriving. Shame we couldn't enjoy our lunch together. Poor service, will not be going back.
Spent $38 on bones & cartilagePork ribs. Friendly staff but after waiting an hour for our main, we just left without the dessert we ordered because it seemed like our ice cream sundae wasnt coming out anytime soon too. Went to the cobb after for some real ribs thats $15 cheaper.Food: 2/5
Great place kids love going to breakersFood: 5/5
3 of us dined in for lunch. We waited 70minutes for our meal. When it arrived all 3 meals were cold. I complained and the chips were replaced as they were stone cold. Burgers were beyound warm. We only had 5min to eat as we were late for an appointment due to the wait. We should of been told about the wait before ordering. Very very dissapointed
Disappointed with whole experience service was discussing waitress swore using The F bomb we had children …we had ribs waitress said you want a wash bowl then brought a cup of water water for two people waitress spilt icecream when roughly placing bowl down cleaned using breakers napkins not even a cloth no water tap or cups at water stands and wanting to order frosty boy icecream to be told while laughing no I broke that and boss won’t fix it you can have brownie instead ummm didn’t want brownie Won’t be back in a hurry
Came here for Nana’s 80th and it’s a big family friendly place perfect for these kind of gatherings! Huge servings. Good value. Easy casual atmosphere. No drama and ideal if you’re out with the family and extended family and mates. Loved the crispy mushrooms. Everything decent though and actually quite a cool kinda kiwi summer vibe to the decor. Thanks for having us Breakers. Very enjoyable.
Fries cold and roast was dry. Burger was good but when you wait half an hour for your meal you expect it to be hot Pudding however was quite solid. Breakers wanganui is a lot better despite being much smaller A bit of work to be done but not all bad. Just needs better quality control
