Stumbled in on the long weekend simply through lack of choice. The opposite of the menu where the choice fir breeky was almost paralyzing. You name it. They do it. Plenty of it expertly cooked. We used to drop into the basin fir our all day brekkys. Never again. Bob's is the best brekky between waihi beach and the far north. Vegetarian options: They do awesome keto stuff if that's your thing
All of our poached eggs had very solid yolks. Certainly not even close to being runny. The fruit smoothie had sugar or some sweetener added to it. The rest of the meal was good, but on balance overall a negative experience.
Friendly and welcoming, I would highly recommend Bob Café. I had a coffee and a breakfast muffin and both were brilliant. The prices are reasonable, I will defiantly be back with the family.

Terrible experience getting takeaway coffee here today. Nothing good about it. Main points were unfriendly service, lids that didn't fit cups properly, coffee holder that wasn't strong enough to hold full cups and led to spillage. Also very expensive for very average coffee. I won't be back.
Bacon and poached eggs were cooked perfectly and ciabatta was one of the best I’ve had. Totally recommend. Very quick service.

Difference from Xmas eve to now is miles apart, food disappointing hash browns overcooked avocado mushy and black, charged extra dollar to go with coffee which was A thimble full and coffee was awful.Friendliness didn't exist, very disappointing.Food: 2/5
