Thanks to the team at Family Boats especially Ivan, Sean and Rick. We purchased a new boat from here and it unfortunately had some issues that related to supplier not Family Boats. These guys got stuck in and resolved the issues as promptly as possible so we could get back out on the water. Would not hesitate to purchase from them in the future. Nick & Kylie

FB have sold a lot of boats over the years. But once a boat is out of warranty I have found their interest in helping to be below 0/5, especially over email or trying to get through on the phone, if you do get in touch, outside a new sale it seems like they are doing you a favor by providing after sales service. I really dislike complaining, but when its warranted, I hate terrible customer service worse. They probably don't care at the moment due to the volume of sales with people full of "Equity" from house prices. But I hope if they do care they will provide a more enthusiastic response to "I have a boat purchased from you, it has issues, can you help please"
Have been to see these guys twice in the last month to buy water toys. I found them to be very helpful, friendly and well priced. Would definately recommend them.
After sales support is fairly average.
Terrible customer service. Here is why: Was on the market for a new outboard. Walked into the showroom - 3 staff present, one in an office, one at a desk in the showroom - and one walking past. No other customers present. Walk past some of these staff and was not acknowledge or greeted by any of them. Start looking at the outboard I am interested in, and get the the point where I want to talk to someone - I have now been in the shop for quite a few minutes. The guy whose desk is about 3 meters away from me never once looked in my direction he was looking at his computer and eventually after waiting a while I had to asked him for some help - he had to have seen me enter I walked right past him. He was knowledgeable enough but didn't seem overly helpful and left me with the impression I was asking stupid questions and wasting his time. Unlikely to be buying anything here if this is what the service is like.
Had the Yamaha jet ski serviced here and it was flawless. Great service and friendly staff. The access in and out is superb, great for boat trailers etc. If you are in the market for a boat or jet ski this is the place to go!!
We purchased a boat being a brand new 3.2m AB rib for around 6 $6,500. After a couple of weeks one of the brass grommets that fix the hand ropes that run along the side of the boat separated. After 1 month, numerous telephone calls and emails we brought the boat to their showroom. We were greated with hostility and literally physically pushed out of the shiwroom. The cost to fix would be in the order $100. Would I deal with Family Boats again? Not a chance in the world!!
