"Great school. The only thing that ruins it is that some kids are always ruining the fun for others in class and stop the learning from happening.

wish i put negative stars, teachers smell like fish. students are very annoying and the food here is awful. I spent most of my time here in rubbish bins wagging class. max is a evil guy watch out for him if you go to the school. i end my review saying if your allergic to the smell of fish avoid mr smith.

We are extremely disappointed about this school. Please be aware before sending your children to this school. There is lot of bullying happening in this school & teachers don't take any action to stop it. Infact, bullies are rewarded & victims are punished. My son was horribly bullied by bunch of mean girls & he was extremely depressed by the time he finished highschool Extremely disappointed Nobody has to go through such ordeal.

I'll definitely miss my time here and regret not putting more effort. Although I'm still in school I'll 100% regret everything.

Very nostalgic! I was a student here about 19 years ago. I remember when we had to wake up for roll call, go to the cafeteria, and hangout in the courtyard. Then we went back in our cells after a long day.

I went to Birkenhead College from 2009-2013. I can honestly say that it was the most unforgettable experience. I have a eye disorder and needed to use a laptop for all my work. This was before using a laptop was the "norm", so it was obviously inconvenient for everybody involved. But not only did every single teacher help me with providing material ahead of time if it wasn't digital for me to scan, or take time to load & mark my work on the computer, they went a step further. I had teachers offer me extra time, additional resources etc. There was not a single teacher that didn't care about the future of each and every child. I was also put into a class called LBS Learning Behavior Support which assisted me further. This class was usually focused around helping kids which act out, have learning disorders, or just in general need a little bit of assistance in one way or another. The staff that worked these classes were devoted to helping these kids. I was most sad to leave the staff behind at the end of my time at BC. Overall: I would rate this school a 6/5. I will never forget this amazing group of teachers and educators.

Great College with very good facilities and very welcoming and friendly teachers . The indoor Sports Centre facilities are very well organized and maintained. The same situation with the outdoor Sports grounds, including the 6 Astrograss tennis courts. Preaty " Central" location for the Eastern side of North Shore.

Nice school Renovating the buildings, looks better

this school reminds me of old movies of prisons.its dull and lifeless only the kids brighten it up with their music,i think the department of education has left this school go to damages.it needs a full new decor .the classrooms need naming .and the school needs a groundsman that has imagination or may be the kids need to be involved.to plant some nice flowers and trees.to give them some pride.the staff are really nice and caring.its a pity that their talents are wasted on the drabness of this school maybe decent funding is needed here.and the whanau classes to be updated as well theirmarae is lovely feelings to it but needs serious money to be spent on it.thanks to the STAFF,

barely any option classes as well the maths being to easy and mr kumer goated sci teacher but bad jnr maths teacher
