The food was good, althought there was a long wait to get what you have ordered. Even though there wasn't much customers in there. Staff were friendly.
We’ve been coming here constantly for years now and every time it’s perfect. The staff are so lovely, super sweet to our baby, very accommodating and give us great recommendations too. We love everything we’ve ordered but our favourite would be trying the different chaats and thali’s. Really recommend trying out Bikaner for an ‘authentic’ taste of India in a very casual atmosphere.
Anywhere in New Zealand nobody give plain paper dosa with sprinkle of cheese for $10. As a former manager for 10 years in 3-4 different restaurants it should had at least coconut chutney. How can a plain piece of dosa is served without any sides.nSecondly, if customer had a problem, the owner shouldn't have to be so fussy about the situation. My mom came to join us for dinner, this person made the whole day about himself.nThis person should join debating instead of customer service because there is not even 'C' of customer service and courtesy inside him.nThis is what happens when an uneducated person starts to run business like this.nWe went all the way from Levin to Lower Hutt because we wanted to try something new.nInstead of all the amazing places i don't know why we chose this and made our day horrible.nI couldn't say anything to the owner because i was in my 38 week of pregnancy.nLastly, the audacity to add the price of the dosa we canceled. This dosa cost you $1 why the heck you charging me something i haven't even eaten.nYou need to learn some love my friend.nPlease be kind to customers before someone report you for mentally assaulting people and you shut your business.
Been here several times in December 2025, delicious every time! Came in for dinner for two one night and their food is tastier than ever. Delicious curries, fresh homemade breads, incredible house-made drinks. Came back with a vegetarian friend - a hungry Te Araroa hiker - and we ordered half the menu. Aloo chaat appetiser, curries and thalis, and a selection of their desserts. So good and great value. The venue is modest and casual, and it's best to eat their super crispy dosas in house rather than getting them for takeaway. If you have more than four people, call and book a table - half the tables were booked when we walked in with three diners.
Was forced to pay with eftpos because a big business like this did not have change for $100. Ensure the weight of the sweets or food you get is accurate. We had to check ours twice. Owner was rude.
