Cafe, Restaraunt and Event Centre located near the famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves and Wai­to­mo's Caving Adventure playground, Oto­ro­han­ga and Te Kuiti.

Story

We are located on State Highway 3, near the famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves and Wai­to­mo's Caving Adventure playground, Oto­ro­han­ga and Te Kuiti and mid-way between Auckland & Taranaki and Auckland & the ski fields of National Park (Turoa & Whakapapa).

We cater for everyone! We've got a wide variety of menu selections, including Café, Buffet and counter lunches for all nationalities both Local and International tourists. Vegetarian and Gluten Free options are also available.

We have a Daily BBQ and Buffet Lunch Menu which caters for everyone New Zealand cuisine and dishes from around the world.

Surrounded by wonderful nature we've got a unique indoor and outdoor setting.

Orchard Tours & Technical Tours are available by arrangement of our Apple, Pear and Organic Kiwifruit Farm.

Great place as a meeting place with travelers from Auckland, we travelled from Taranaki. Our meals and the service that we received were excellent and courteous servers and waiters.great outdoor views.
Surprisingly good coffee. Better than the offers from Otorohanga.
Had a quick stop over. Got some great coffee and a walk through the tourist shop. Some lovely things to buy here. Will stop again when I'm next going through.
Very tasty and cheap pies only 3$ and awesome Kapiti ice creams. Well situated and with a friendly team, perfect for a stop between a cave visit and a kiwi encounter ;
Homestead is fantastic. I love what they've done to the place over the years I've been visiting. Ice cream is lovely. Service is lovely. Food is lovely. Nice place.

Loved $3 pies, really good. Had salmon panini sandwiches. The panini bread had so much flavors.

Big Azz ice creams are the best ice cream I have had in years!!! Visited here while on holiday, and had to make sure we went back at least once before we left again. Grabbed some cool t-shirts also!
