Story

Beyond Pilates runs Pilates classes in Browns Bay and Torbay. Group Mat classes held in Browns Bay as well as small group Mat Classes and Private one on one Reformer classes held at my home studio in Torbay.
I am Polestar trained for Pilates and have a Diploma in Dance.
All ages and all levels of experience welcome.

I love my Pilates classes with Hannah. I first joined Beyond The Studio Pilates in May 2020, as I was suffering with very painful legs possibly due to working from home, and sitting for long periods on a wooden kitchen chair and it was effecting my running - shin splits, calf and hip pain. I took part in a Pilates for Runners Masterclass and instantly felt the benefits - I haven’t experienced pain while running since. Hannah talked through each exercise and stretch and how it benefits the body, and that’s why I’ve stuck with Pilates, and more importantly with Hannah. During lock down I was taking part in about 4 classes a week, but now it’s more like 2 or 3. I love that Hannah mixes live classes with recorded classes, and also the length of a class - so you can pick according to your mood, need, or the time you have available. Every single class is different. I can’t recommend Hannah enough.
Hannah is great Pilates instructor! What I like about her classes is that she takes the time to check your positioning in the different moves to ensure you are getting the maximum benefit to that move. If there are any issues you have from long covid to aches/joint injuries she will offer moves that will benefit you or give you alternatives. She also offers online classes if you can’t make it in person as well as many online classes you can do in your own time. Which is great for working around busy schedules. What she is offers in membership is very reasonable for the classes and advice etc she provides. I can’t recommend Hannah enough! Also she does do some lovely Pilates retreats in the summer too!
Hannah is an excellent teacher of Pilates. She is very good at adapting her classes to suit the participants and provides clear explanations and demonstrations of what is expected.
Hannah is amazing - I have taken her pilates class with my 5 month old and she not only is great with helping my technique but also great with the children and babies in attendance. Would strongly reccomend!
I have been taking my daughter to the mum and baby classes since she was 8 weeks old and we both enjoy it. Hannah is a very good teacher and also very good with the babies in the class. It is a very relaxed atmosphere.
I have done both live classes and online/Zoom ones with Hannah. Both are excellent. Hannah is a very professional and accomplished Pilates teacher, who I can thoroughly recommend.
Hannah’s classes are great. She is very supportive and mindful of people’s limitations and individual needs. I always come away feeling relaxed and happier about my strength and mobility.
Hannah is brilliant, really enjoyed her mum and baby classes !
I've been doing Hannah's Pilates classes for a few years now and also one to ones. Hannah is an excellent teacher and always gives alternatives in the classes so that they work for people at all levels of ability and experience. In the one to ones Hannah takes time to understand the goals that you are working towards and puts together sessions and plans that really help you get there.
Hannah is an amazing Pilates teacher. I was attending her classes in person before Covid 19, now that we are all in lockdown Hannah has created her on line Pilates classes. I cannot recommend her enough. When you are doing a zoom class after showing you the moves Hannah watches you and guides you carefully making sure that you are positioning yourself correctly and safely and also helps with the correct breathing. Hannah is very professional and friendly at the same time. Even after Covid I will continue with my daily classes as I have found that they have really helped me with my mobility.
