This place was one of the food highlights of our holiday to Auckland. The vibe watching them pump out freshly baked bagels, to their wonderful texture and flavour. It’s a great experience and it’s an absolute bargain for the quality. In particular their salmon bagel, and also their amazing lemon fennel olive used on some veggie bagels, it’s just exquisite.
WOW! Do not wait or hesitate to eat here! I've had many bagels and bagel sandwiches from many different places before and only really expected a basic bagel with some toppings, but boy did this place exceed all my expectations. The staff is so incredibly friendly and everyone seemed so happy to be there which made the experience already above and beyond. I ordered the T.A.B. tomato, avocado, basil, and lemon fennel olive oil and added bacon for some protein and I literally came back every single day during my trip. I also substituted an everything bagel and it was so delicious. I'm sure all the other options would have been tasty as well but the TAB was just so good that I didn't want to try anything else yet. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and were generous. The bottomless coffee was a great deal as well. It was always busy but service was still fast. Absolutely delicious!
What an experience! I felt like I was in a real New York bagel establishment. I am buzzing! The bagels are made fresh in front of you, delicious and melt in your mouth, and the workers are incredible. Your system of calling out to the other workers the orders gives me chills and is clearly a system y’all are great at. Even moments when you would all chant lyrics to the music playing, the whole experience felt like I was really in New York. Y’all have an amazing passion for bagels and they are the best tasting ever - I love my bagels!! We will 100% be coming back!
Delicious bagels for a very fair price! There is always a seating space available and the team works efficiently to get you your order asap. All bagels we tried were superior in taste and quality! Located closely to Auckland Sky Tower, Best Ugly Places is perfect if you wanna grab a bite on your way to discover Auckland downtown or the marina.
Great tasting Bagels! I got the bacon and egg bagel and my partner got the salmon. Extremely tasty food and the staff were very happy and enthusiastic people! We will be coming here again on our return to Auckland.
Pricey bagels. Had better ones elsewhere for similar price chewy bagel with generous ingredients/schmear; cf Two Men Bagel House. Also, realize much later after we left that they overcharged us a dollar more. Customers may want to request for a receipt to double check. I don’t recall them giving it to us. Won’t be back.
You need these bagels. We had the Swiss and the Yodi. Everything made fresh and super tasty, and the staff there are great! They were so good I ended up buying a bag of bagels, the mustard they use, and a big jar of pickles for the road from them as well.
Very friendly staff, cute and quaint atmosphere/decor during covid times. Unfortunately weak coffee and the Avocado on the bagel wasn't great. I'm sure the other bagels are great.
staff showed great enthusiasm whilst pumping out delicious bagels. Bagels were chewy, slightly crispy and aromatic from the sesame. Didn't think raspberry jam was my thing until I tried it. Seating is limited! We got a free coffee from Beaming in too!
Really liked the freshly made bagels here! Had the White Rabbit and the Yodi. Yodi was super savoury and delicious though the bagel became a big soft. Loved the chewy texture and combo of the white rabbit.
