Fabulous place! We spent a few days in Mangawhai over the holidays and stopped at Bennett’s Café for breakfast on our way back to Auckland. The place was buzzing with a great atmosphere. The food and service were excellent, and we thought the prices were very reasonable. We also loved being able to watch the chocolate being made. This all made for a fun experience. We also appreciated the cafe having tables outside in front which were dog friendly.nnWe had eggs benedict and eggs on toast with bacon. Both were excellent and the coffee was nice and smooth - delicious!nnThank you to Bennett's Cafe! We will stop by again when we're in the area.
Our favourite place for breakfast in Mangawhai, consistently great food and quality. We love all the cabinet food and tried almost everything in the last couple of years. Also, great coffee and true hot chocolate. Love the extension for the bakery. Bennetts is definitely a destination for its chocolate factory, bakery and cafe.
The place had a lively atmosphere, good food, and a charming outdoor dining area with a summery feel. The café is conveniently located next to the chocolate store and offers a small wine selection. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.
Drove all the way from South Auckland on a long weekend just to experience their chocolate offering. Menu is small which made choosing what to order easy. The hot chocolate did not disappoint! Our only regret was we only ordered one Brioche Cinnamon Muffin. It was divine! And it ran out pretty quickly. Highly recommend that you get the artisan marshmallow from the shop. You will not regret it.
It feels like you are somewhere in Europe, France or Italy. We stopped over for breakfast on our way back to Auckland. Lovely food, good ambience and quick service. Delicious breakfast options including fantastic cabinet food, great coffee.
