Drove all the way from South Auckland on a long weekend just to experience their chocolate offering. Menu is small which made choosing what to order easy. The hot chocolate did not disappoint! Our only regret was we only ordered one Brioche Cinnamon Muffin. It was divine! And it ran out pretty quickly. Highly recommend that you get the artisan marshmallow from the shop. You will not regret it.
It feels like you are somewhere in Europe, France or Italy. We stopped over for breakfast on our way back to Auckland. Lovely food, good ambience and quick service. Delicious breakfast options including fantastic cabinet food, great coffee.
Wow, this place is a real gem, it feels like you’re sitting down to have brunch in Greece. The place is well maintained, and absolutely beautiful, the gardens, decor, just everything makes it feel like you’re on holiday. I would highly recommend this cafe. Today I had the chicken burger, because the place is so popular there weren’t many tables, we found one and it was cleared as we sat down. The order line took awhile to get through but food came fast considering that. Chicken burger seemed like it had a whole chicken breast in it and a huge amount of mozzarella, was flavourful and great considering the fact that I haven’t had a satisfying burger for awhile, I’d recommend it to people who claim they are so hungry they could eat a horse. Came with shoestring fries, crispy but not oily. Connected to the cafe there is a surf shop upstairs, chocolate shop and a bakery I think, good to have a quick squiz while waiting for food.
it’s very full and loud but the drinks are nice and the food also. Sadly they close the kitchen really early so we couldn’t try any real food but it looked delicious on the plate by others. Coffee was good, iced chocolate even better, i think because they used real chocolate. I also had a caramel oat slice, delicious if you like caramel.
I had the $7 sausage roll, $7 strawberry pastry square and $7 mango cronut. I will not be eating there again.nThe sausage roll was an oily, soggy mess of disappointment. The filling of sausage had a bitterness of tomato paste and the overall taste of what not a sausage roll should taste like.nThe mango cronut tasted more like brioche with an unidentifiable yellow filling, while the only thing that tasted like it actually should, was the strawberry square. They did make their own strawberry compote.nPoor quality and poor tasting food.
