Steep walk up, wide path that is a bit muddy and rocky. Incredible views at the top. Only 30 minutes to get there.
Nice short walk up to skyline, might be a bit steep for some. I stopped in to cheer some runners on during Faultline Ultra and was greeted with a lovely sunset.
A brisk 15 minute walk up hill will get you to the top of the ridge, with views back into the city and over to the wind farm. Windy, exposed and full of sheep. Not somewhere you want to be without a coat, but a great sunset watching spot from the top.
Part of the Te Araroa walkway from the top of the north island to bottom of the south island .nMaintained by volunteers bringing back the original broadleaf podocarp emergant forest .
Pretty hard to see where to go unless I went the wrong way? thru the tall grass, and a brutal climb for runners. Once at the top it's all worth it though.
