Belle Mer Apartments are beautifully located Mount Maunganui beach front apartments, Architecturally designed and elegantly furnished.

Story

Belle Mer Apartments (meaning ‘Beautiful Sea’ in French) . The name is so appropriate as the view over the white sand and blue sea of Main Beach is a beautiful sight. The high-end complex opened for business on 8th June 1999 and has since welcomed guests from all over the world to Mount Maunganui.

The site where Belle Mer Apartments is built was previously occupied by Green Gables Boarding House. Constructed in 1951, this boarding house achieved some notoriety during its time as many a romance blossomed under its roof. A painting of the old boarding house is displayed in the passage way on the first floor of Belle Mer Apartments and prints are hung in most of the apartments.

The boarding house was demolished in late 1998, when construction started for the present building. The native timber, mainly Rimu, was kept for recycling and utilised in the Belle Mer Apartments.

The kitchen flooring and many of the dining tables, TV cabinets, bedside and coffee tables in the apartments are constructed with re-cycled timber from Green Gables. It's the extra little details like these that make our individually designed apartments even more exceptional.

We loved our stay at Belle Mer. The apartment was perfect; spacious, very clean and modern, well equipped, excellent location, friendly managers, and had a fantastic shower! The whole family had fun in the heated pool and being just across the road from the beach was great. We have already booked our next stay.Rooms: 5/5
I have stayed at Belle Mer Beachfront Apartments over the last 6 years with family and friends. Warren is a great manager and super friendly and helpful. There is no better accommodation nor position at Mt Maunganui. These are the cleanest, roomiest, most up to date apartments you could have. Great views from the balconies of the beach. 5 minute walk to fabulous restaurants and cafes and a beautiful pool to swim in if you don't want to go to the beach directly across the road. Will definitely be booking at Belle Mer again. If I could give it at 10 star I would.
We have stayed here multiple times and will be back! Great central spot with very comfortable and large apartments. We have a young baby so it’s important we have a seperate room to the lounge that he can be in. Service is always super friendly and very helpful. We have never had a late check out request denied :
We loved our staycation at Belle Mer Apartments. The apartments have everything you might need as well as being modern, clean and comfortable. The pool is a delight to swim in. All the fun in town is an easy walking distance and of course the best beach in NZ is right over the road. We're looking forward to coming back again in the near future.
One of the best accommodations in NZ. Two families visited in three bed room. It was soooo spacious. Dishwashers, dryer, laundry, full of kitchen supplies, it has all we needed. It was warm and cozy. I definitely recommend this. And it's only 2 minutes walking to the beach.
I have just stayed at the Belle Mer apartments for my second time and I dont think I will ever stay anywhere else when needing accomodation. The location is perfect, staff are friendly, the check in and booking system is easy and stress free. The apartment itself has everything you would need to have a comfortable stay. I could not recommend these apartments anymore, thank you for yet another lovely stay.
Great weekend away with friends, made even better by teh appartmnet we booked at Belle Mer. Good size, very quite, comfy beds, great view off the deck, easy walk to town and bars. Right across the road from the beach- will be back to stay again
The Apartment I rented was a beachfront room on the second floor. The apartment was well appointed, well kept and spotlessly clean. Everything went well until I went to leave and discovered a flat tyre. I was in a borrowed car and there was no Jack. The spare tyre was locked… with a seized lock. … the wonderful host left into action… Lent me tools … let me his own car Jack. Helped me at every step. It topped off a great stay. I was on the road in no time.
We had a fantastic time at the Mount. Belle Mer is within walking distance to all the action, the mount, the shops, the pools, the beach and places to eat. Recommend staying there to anyoneRooms: 5/5
The rooms had a nice view and they provided plenty of cups and plates. The pool was also very nice. Overall it was a good stay. Though there was the problem with the fan always being on in the day but that wasn't horrible.
