This has to be one of the best motels in the South Island!nFor a small space, Marilyn has maximised all of it, fantastic set up.nOnly hassle which was potentially on me, was the amazing coffee machine - i couldn't work out how to use it and no instructions in the compendium. Fabulous to have it though.nLook forward to staying again and highly recommend, especially for business purposes.
I cannot fault the cleanliness, the room and bathroom were immaculate. The host was friendly and accommodating. It was a comfortable quiet stay. The detail of utensils, pod coffee and bathroom accessories were great. If there was any adjustment I would have preferred, it would be to have an adjustable height shower head. Great place and location.
The bed was very comfortable, and the room was nice and warm. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was lovely to have the choice of plunger and machine coffee in addition to standard coffee. The continental breakfast was delicious and filling.nThe only drawback would be, being on the main road and hearing traffic in the morning.
Had a lovely experience here. Rooms were impeccably clean and well equipped. Marliyn at reception is welcoming and helpful with inquiries. There was plenty of parking and this motel is a short bikeride from the start of the Kawatiri cycle trail. Good free WI Fi connection.
I stayed at Bella Vista Motel Westport in November 2024 and had a mixed experience. While the room was clean and well-presented, it was smaller than I had anticipated and lacked a kitchenette for washing up. However, it did come with a microwave, plates, cups, and other essentials, which was a nice touch. Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the room was commendable.nThat said, one downside was the noise. Despite having the windows closed, I could still hear vehicles passing by quite clearly during the night, which made it difficult to get a full night's sleep. Further, the bed was firm, which I personally found uncomfortable I prefer a soft mattress.nOverall, it was an okay stay – the room met basic needs, but the noise and size were a bit disappointing. Would be ideal for a short stay if you're not too sensitive to traffic sounds.
