I tried their Pork & Cress sausages for the first time and they were so salty and greasy I thought they had made a bad batch. It seems almost a third of the sausages are sorghum flour which absorbs all the fat and made for a very unpleasant, sticky texture. They were not a hit at the barbie. I sent them a message through their website and two week have gone by and no reply. I like supporting small, local businesses, but these were honestly some of the worst wurst I've ever had. Their sausages sell at a premium price and are packaged as a premium product, but I wouldn't want to eat these again even for free.
Just tried the beef sausage. Probably the best sausage I’ve ever eaten. Really good flavour. Nice work
My favorite meat is sausage. Over the years the quality has gone down. not many butchers around and supermarkets produce pretty awful. All I want is a plain sausage, pork or beef no spice or anything, and these are great and now my go to. Also tried venison patties can't beat those either. Hardly any fat and nice crispy skins
Best pork sausages hands down! Taste just like sausages use to be. We buy a couple of packets every time we go to pak n save and always have some in the freezer. You won't regret buying these sausages.. They are the best of the best!
Hey I tried your Beef Sausages. They are seriously good the best sausage I've ever tasted. Well done
The best sausages! I'm a total carnivore but fussy with it so if I come across gristle or anything out of the ordinary it's spat out Didn't spit a single mouthful, enjoyed every bite! Finally a decent tasty sausage without the anxiety haha thanks Beard Bros, will be stocking up for summer!
I live in Hastings district. My wife and I have been to Sachie's Kitchen in Auckland for Japanese cooking lessons, we have her cookbooks and use them. Now Beard Brothers, Sachies Kitchen Pork, Plum and Hoisin are the worst sausages "ever" , the texture is aweful, presevatives way to strong and just gross. We fed them to the eels in our creak. Sachie don't sell your reputation to this company, you don't need them
Tried the Pork and Cress sausages and yup, they're great. Curious though why sausages from Hastings are available in Mapua but not in my native Wellington.
Purchased a packet of your pork and puha sausages. I found the texture fine but the flavor seemed to be missing. I found them very bland. I still have 4 more to eat so I will have to add them to something else to use them up. Shame as I was looking forward to them. Sorry for the bad review but I say it as I find it.
What a shocking waste of money. Tried Moroccean sausages. So full of fat ended with6 small nasty things. Dont waste your money peeps
