Story

Baldy knows his stuff, he has been in the trade for over 20 years, working in new zealand, Australia. realising new zealand had the best meat in the world, decided to come home and let the passion of his trade lie here in Hawkes Bay. Darren and his wife Marion who has also worked in the trade for many years decided to open up there own butchery right here in Hastings, it didnt take long before they needed a bigger shop, so the NEW BALD BUTCHER permises was built, they specialise in quality, use only 100% new zealand proudce and everything you will see in there fantastic shop is made right there on the premisess, they have also created jobs for 10 staff. this is a must see shop if you are looking for something special, great customer service you cant go by this place.

Great quality meat in store and friendly staff

Always carry great cuts of meat and sausages.  Best quality beef mince by far.  Chicken mini roasts are full of flavour and make any meal special.  The staff are friendly and the prices even more so!

Brilliant meat and smallgoods usually great customer service, you do need to open the hours you have advertised, or change your hours to reflect finishing earlier than 6pm!!! Called in to grab my favourite sausages at 5.50 pm and staff were heading to cars.

Great selection of meats but really let down by opening hours. 9-5 Monday to Friday only means normal working people can’t shop there. In a time I’d love to support local businesses I can’t support this one as the only time I can go is if I have the day off work. Shame really.

This butcher is brilliant.  They do the best sausages in town.  Highly recommend the pork, maple and bacon. They go above and beyond to ensure you get just what you want. Todays service to get my order right was unbeatable. Can't recommend enough!

This is a delightful store. The meat is beautifully presented and looks absolutely scrumptious. This has to be one of the nicest butcher stops that I’ve ever visited. Everything looks really pristine.
