Jackie the receptionist on greeting was absolutely delightful but other than that for $177 a night it was very poor due to my comments. Room clean enough but black mould on curtains not acceptable & in tile bathroom grout. I showed a photo to the morning receptionist of the curtains and said how bad it was and she said we are aware and are going to soon replace appearing very disinterested in a genuine complaint.
Lovely big room with chairs on a balcony with a bit of a sea view! I used the laundry which was expensive and not as good as I'd hoped. Not a long walk into town and very handy if you wish to visit Waitangi.Rooms: 4/5
Resort is located at fantastic location on beachside. Staff was helpful while checking in, gave us good suggestions about roaming around Whitianga. We stayed here for 1 night and we had booked 1 bedroom apartment on first floor. Apartment is big enough and was equipped with all kind of amenities. Kitchen had all utensils and kitchenwares. Bathroom had all amenities, water pressure was upto the expectations. We loved staying at this place.
FANTASTIC Beautiful friendly staff, the room was clean with very thing we needed, the weather was horrible so was happy to stay in our room Would recommend this lovely Motel thousand time over Blossoms Boutique Papamoa

Will not stay here again. Room smelled like rotten Indian food. It was disgusting. Two nights of stink around us. We left the doors and window open but the smell wouldn't go away. The carpet was worn out and dirty with nails coming through, cutting my toe. For the price we paid, it wasn't worth it. Definitely needs a reno. We had 3 channels in the room. No sky. No netflix. The heated pool was the only good thing about our stay.
When I heard I was booked into a 'resort motel' maybe my expectations were a bit high...the bathroom had a weird smell to it. Upon reading others reviews I took my internet modem so would not have internet issues. No Sky TV or even Freeview!?! so thankfully had my laptop and hdmi even though my laptop was almost bigger than the TV. I was in the room by reception 701 and upon arrival went to open the curtains to find no sheers and so everyone that was pulling in to book in was staring straight into my room so closed the curtains again. A simple sheer or net would have made the room private; having to close the curtains to get some privacy was not pleasant. The light in the kitchen even though switched off flashed all night like a strobe light. By the time i realised, I was going to bed and was not going to say anything at the time as did not want to move rooms. At least the bed was comfortable. I am not saying I would not recommend to stay here as it is good value for what you get but I have stayed at a lot of motels ercently that offer more for the price.
