Story

Our Tasting Studio is located in Birkenhead Village, Auckland and is open daily. This is the North Shore home of craft beer, an absolutely fabulous wine list, stunning champagne and the top shelf of top gear. And a pretty cool menu to boot!
The Tasting Studio is also the centre of the universe for the Birkenhead Brewing Company.

Been here many times! For a bar nestled in the suburbs of Birkenhead you couldn’t ask for much more. Great selection of beer, the servers are always really friendly and all up a good atmosphere! I think the chef has changed over time, but the core menu has stayed the same with typical pub grub with some standouts to the calamari and ribs go down nicely. For the price and for where you are you can’t ask for much more. Will keep coming back that’s for sure! And if you’re a local and haven’t been, try this place out…
I come here often and really love their food! Actually, I lie.. their food is amazing!! I have found though, that when the owner is not around the service is lacking. I understand he cannot always be around, but just a sad observation and experience. Otherwise cannot fault the atmosphere, drinks and food. Totally awesome! Would have been 5 stars if not for the service
The food is finger licking and the staff is super friendly. As a dog owner this is the perfect place for me and my fur buddy to hang out. Even without my best friend I love the BBC for it's tasty menu, chill atmosphere, and menagerie of beers.Food: 5/5
Had a wonderful dinner here with a girlfriend & our tweens. Lots of interesting & tasty beer options & all other drinks too!, great food the ribs were perfect & fell off the bone. Staff were super friendly & helpful. Toilets also rate a mention for being super clean even the kids mentioned how good the toilets were!. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of GF options on the menu & all super tasty.
After finding this place a week ago, we have been back three times and brought family along as well. BBC has a great range of craft beers on offer maybe add Double Vision to the line-up?, a menu to suit all and very friendly and accommodating people - including Riley, the best server in the world. This is a perfect spot for a beverage and a bit and we will be back when we next come to Auckland Dietary restrictions: Dairy And gluten free options
The vegan burger was dry and disappointing. There is a comment now from someone saying that they "remember" coming to check on our table. To prove their statement, I invite them to tell me what day I was there and how many of us were at our table. Because what I remember having to get up and go to the bar to ask for a box to take my leftovers home. We had no opportunity to ask for sauce or remedy the dry burger situation. Hence the two star review.
A fab little bar right on the main street of Birkenhead. Choose your beers for a flight and enjoy the eclectic & wide range on offer. I would have liked more info on the beers we chose maybe make up coasters w the beer logo on one side and a buttload of info on the other?, but it was still a lovely experience. Will definitely be back to check out the food options, and for more of whatever that yummy pink beer was!
Fantastic little pub with an awesome selection of beers and wines. The food here is delicious and they have a great food menu for kids. The staff are super friendly and one overheard my daughter comment to me that she didn’t like her cheeseburger as it had mustard in it so he whipped it away and offered another one! Love this place!
Ist time at bbc 2nite with wife and kids. Really good atmosphere, guy behind bar was nice and friendly and our meals were bloody good. Will be back again. Cheers Gerald
Great Venue for a few drinks, a special date or a big night out. Really good selection of New Zealand craft beer. Absolutely amazing food and such a nice vibe inside and out. A must visit when you are in Birkenhead.
