For the first time ever, the piece of fish was so chewy it bounced. The worst batter we've ever tasted, it was as tough as old boots and felt like it was five days old. Chips were fine but have to say, would never consider stopping there again.
Was ok, bones in blue cod, beards on two battered mussels and very thick batter kind of lost the taste of the blue cod. Well cooked and must use clean oil. Lovely chips and nice staff. Looked very clean inside.
Received the most laughably small portion of rice with my wontons... It was just a spread-out, thin layer on the bottom of the takeaway box. About 2 tablespoon's worth. Food took some time to be prepared as well.
Disappointed.. Blue cod from a fishing port should have been good… instead frozen tasteless chewy cod, the batter was stodgy, chips were just average, potato fritters inedible, would not recommend, a really awful experince!! .. pic looks better than it ate! Needs a new owner
I recently ordered a burger from Bayside takeaway and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The burger was extremely bland and lacked any flavor or seasoning. It seemed as though it was cooked without any salt or other spices and even may have been a frozen beef paddie. Even the toppings were underwhelming and didn't add any extra flavor to the burger. Overall, I was very disappointed with the quality of the burger and the lack of effort put into making it. I hope that the restaurant can take this feedback constructively and improve their recipe to ensure that their customers have a better experience in the future.
