My husband and I love going for morning walks together, followed by a good cup of coffee. Since we’ve tried most of the cafes around Invercargill, we thought we’d do something different and head out to Riverton for a little walk.nnThat’s when we found Aparima, such a warm, friendly spot that feels perfect whether you’re with family or just the two of you. The food was great, the staff were lovely, and you could really feel a strong, family-like vibe between them. It made the whole place feel super homey and welcoming.nnWe had the seafood chowder, and it was packed with seafood and full of flavor perfect for a chilly winter day.nnI also had the salad, and it was really good too! Lots of chicken and a nice mix of fresh veggies, so good I ended up finishing it all.
Had lunch here today and it was such a great experience. I came alone and ended up enjoying some peaceful me-time with an amazing view. I ordered the classic rib eye — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Everything tasted great, from the food to the little details. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, making it a perfect spot to unwind solo. Definitely one of those places I’ll come back to.
Took a drive out to Riverton to check out the views and enjoy the beautiful weather, Had always wanted to stop at the Ap for a feed and today was that day...nnBeautiful interior, Well set out bar with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.nnI ordered a mocha and got myself the Karaaage chicken burger and chips, Hot chips fresh fluffy and hot with great seasoning.nnChicken burger looked amazing, Japanese fried chicken, red cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickle and red onion all in a lovely toasted bun.nnVery tasty I highly recommend you stop here and I couldn't fault the friendly Service.
5 of us enjoyed 3 different mains for lunch. Vension in my burger could have been sliced thinner, but overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. Pasta meals were large portions.
Had this place recommended to us by a couple of people back in Invercargill, so we took a drive out, I think it was about 30 minutes away or so,nWe had the pork belly, and the blue cod and chips, and both were really good with generous portions.nThe black forest ice cream log is an absolute winner and shouldnt be missed when desert rolls around.nThe restaurant was busy, and the views from the deck are nice overlooking the water, and staff were friendly.
